Response: I never know if people want to receive the swap photo - or not! I kept updating this time as the card evolved.
Response: So sorry! I’m new to envelope making and didn’t realize it would need (more) reinforcement. Let me know if there was an extra charge!
Response: Terry Pratchett was a prolific UK writer. I love his Discworld series. We try to watch a movie of his “Hogfather” book from that series *every* December. “Going postal” also became a good movie. (And I am usually disappointed by movies made from books!)
Response: Second chunk enroute to you, started pre-Thanksgiving. Thanks for the update.
Response: It cried out to be sent to you.
Response: Thanks for the heart.
Response: Thanks, you too! (The mail seemed quick this time, hurrah!)
Response: I don’t think I’ve been to Mississippi either!! The stamp color just got me. (Did drive from Teas to Atlanta once.)
Response: Thank you! I do enjoy experimenting with different styles.
Response: I’m not up to hosting it - but a surreal series where we try some of the difference techniques would be a fun challenge: starting with free drawing or snake stains or having an image explode. (My skills are not up to melting!)
Response: Thank you! You get to decide if they are on a path or a stream!
Response: Thank you. I like to use different styles and techniques. I think weaving is underused in collage and should offer many creative options.
Response: I had fun with it but it was a challenge. Glad you liked the end result!
Response: Glad you enjoyed! It was fun to work on.
Response: It was a challenge swap for me. Thanks for the heart.
Response: so glad to hear
Response: Iirc I sent a magazine image of a young man in a jacket standing inside that I doodled over. I will make & resend using another image. Cant mail today as the doodles I have here are on plain paper.
Response: Thank you. I had a lot of fun with the 2nd side.
Response: huzzah! I would never have thought of it on my own but I got a postit "envie" myself once.
Response: (´༎ຶ ͜ʖ ༎ຶ `) (crying face emoji, not sure if swap-bot can display it)
Response: I can’t remember which chuck you got. The maps tofu recipe is a go-to for the half house that can still eat soy. If it was the tomato sauce-y one, dh is not changing the recipe he’s been using for years! Step 1: immersion blend canned tomatoes, step 2: hours over low heat, house smells awesome
Response: not my normal color palate but I was happy how it turned out!
Response: You should have gotten 2 cards - one hatted and one with a head covering. Hopefully the hat will also show up!
Response: Thank you. My “Ferris wheel” was a water-colored circle base with mostly gold stenciled gears overlaid.
Response: So glad you enjoyed. you might enjoy Neurographics, a relaxing doodle I have learned about lately.
Response: That was longer than I expected! Guess I don't have to make a re-send this weekend!
Response: Tough little boat. Glad you liked it.
Response: Thank you. I had fun with it.
Response: No way I could make it fit in a smaller envie! Glad you like it

Response: I loved it.... it was one of those I didn’t want to send away.
Response: Thanks for hosting (and the star).
Response: :) hope you stay healthy! Happy creating!
Response: So glad you enjoyed. Thank you for the generous rating.
Response: Here it's mostly a needle book, or maybe for pins & needles. Most of my needles are in their original case or stuck in a pin cushion. (I think there are only pin books in Discworld.)
Response: Don't know if you know here but weatherwax on swap-bot made the faux stamp that I thought I included (or maybe it's on the envie)? gack. I sent 4 swaps that day, hope I got them all straight!
Response: I logged in to rate you and saw this! They were fun to make.
Response: Thank you, fun swap!
Response: Iiirc, tiger mussels
Response: I can’t belirve how long they took to arrive!
Response: Huh, by definition vegans don’t eat fish, and strict vegans don’t even take Honey! Guess they are trying to be inclusive? Odd
Response: Thanks! I had fun making it.
Response: Ooooh, maybe we should do one But collage with bright papers?!?
Response: Loved how that background worked. Thanks for the heart.
Response: Now to go back & see how I’ve done...
Response: Enjoy using it. I tried to mix in more layers than I might have for myself.

Response: Thanks for letting me know you were hosting!
Response: hurrah! I wasn't 100% sure the packaging was "enough"
Response: I really liked that one. thanks for the heart
Response: thanks for the heart
Response: So many options, glad you liked my final plan.
Response: Living for the phone calls!
Response: so glad it arrived! I think it was one where my words were better than the "art".
Feed the fox!
Response: Thanks for rating.
Response: I do too! I as just not content with the first.
Response: Hurrah! Smiles from you & your Dd makes it totally worthwhile. 3oz is the cheapest per ounce rate for international and over 3.5oz it gets crazier so more small packages makes the most sense - now I’ve figured it out! No worries.
EDIT: you are my 1,000th 5 (6.25 years)
Response: Thanks for the 5. So many iterations raced through my head on this one and the next! We have a group page?
Response: THANK you for the generous star. I will not share with you my thoughts on sausage stuffing as I was designing. Somethings are better left unknown.
Response: Hurrah! I didn’t want to put in a ton of cardboard but I wanted them to arrive flat & in-bent. Sometimes I am overly frugal! Love dragons, fan of Chinese New Year, not an actual stamp collector...
Response: thank you! I almost made you somthing else to send.
Response: hope all is well. we're in a lull between 2 storms - some of our neighbors don't have power back from the first storm yet.
Response: I got some unused stamps on ebay a few years back to use - cost me less than face value.
Response: thank you. I love all the different effects with layering.
Response: Thank you for your patience thinking you were waiting. Special thanks for checking the spam folder!
Response: This is one of the swaps where I wish there were an easy photo album for swap-bot. (I never think to go look at flickr to see if anyone has tagged with swap-bot AND swap names.)
Response: :) I had her image out still from pulling "orange" for the first card. I was very happy with how things came out, so glad you agreed!
Response: Thank you, great to hear!
Response: Thank you! I may have made it more challenging than necessary :0
Response: Thank you & thanks for hosting
Response: Thank you & thanks for hosting!
Response: I'll be on the lookout. Thanks for all your hosting!
Response: Thanks! I set up a MA: notan swap - hope you sign up. (You'll recognize the image I used)
Response: Thank you. My gf recently found a group of fisherman from RI or MA who deliver exquisite fish but I think their wardrobe is different.
Response: I think I like Susan best. Fierce lovable female characters aren't easy to find.
Response: thanks! I've been pleased with a few with just that touch added.
Response: thanks for the heart. glad you liked it
Response: if you run across the border and hit Costco ever, grab a pair of their big jars of "hearts" and throw them in a salad. Dealing with the fresh, raw ones are a bit daunting; it is suddenly more obvious that they are in the thistle family. You can work up to that!
Response: thanks for the heart. I wish there was an easy gallery to see everyone's take
Response: thanks for the heart - I likes it but wasn't sure how it would be received. The sketch/grafitti in the middle is from the rest of the Miro ticket.
Response: Thanks. Orca's in the upper right corner--- you probably noticed the rest of the sea scene folded onto the address-side
Response: Yeah, I sent 2 or 3... lost confidence that the "resort" would get mine posted at all. Still surprised I forgot to pack what I had made at home. Enjoy!
Response: thank you - a bit of a challenge but I was happy wit the result. (It was sent with two paws, maybe a machine ate one)
Response: Cow/calf & glacier don't have a common name in English, but they share the verb "calving". (English is weird)
Response: thanks for the heart!
Response: thank you! never know whether NYUP members are open to collage or only want commercial "not usual"
Response: :)
glad to spread joy
Response: I had fun with it. Thanks for the heart
Response: I wonder if we've met in ATC Jams before... can't remember. I am doing hardly any ATCs now & more postacrds.
Response: thanks for the heart
Response: It happens, so happy it wasn't lost! Worked your beloved toadstool shape into what I made.
Response: thanks. I'm enjoying using layers.
Response: Yes. I've been using tissue paper more in the last 8? 9? months and liking the effect. (I've gotten some nice packs from the dollar store)
Response: I was careful to use where the salt effect showed.
Response: Thanks! I made a green masterboard and then detailed it for you.
Response: Thanks! I made a green masterboard and then detailed it for you.
Response: I love the blending with watercolor pencils - but I tried not to "correct" my sketching with them for this exercise.
Response: I would not have used the same topic to just anyone!
Response: Thank you - Zetti is s chslkfnge for me in such a small space
Response: We ate all of it - but I have to confess that it was not in fact all one meal! Could have been...
Response: Thanks, I've been really enjoying playing with rooster cards.
Response: a bit more shabby chic than I had planned but I was happy with it, glad you were too
Response: I may be changing my mind about the beauty of sending cards "naked". I like the concept but as I do more complex collage, it is not always ready to handle the vagaries of what might happen in the Post Office machinery.
Response: Once I made a tryptch, they had to stay together. happy creating!
Response: :) Glad you enjoyed it!
Response: Thank you! I was dreading the having to describe them piece of the swap. Have you ever watched Teesga Moore's YouTube videos for how she works? I found them helpful, although not sure how relevant to ATC size.
Response: Some customs officials do have power over demons. Glad it escaped.
Response: The walrus just snuck in, said you already had enough dogs. Glad you liked it.
Response: Thank you for your message and waiting before posting this - so sorry (& of course also sorry that I missed your message). I will be crafting this week & send out a new item.
EDIT: hurrah for the defeat of postal gremlins. So glad you are enjoying the re-send.
Response: *** for your honesty.
Response: thanks - I do try to match the final embellishments to hints in the profile
Response: I was trying to pull in a bit of "Asia" for you as I could not figure how to get quilting in there
Response: that makes me happy. I read your profile and hoped it would suit.
Response: it was just the PC title, not meant to be a quiz, but the crest is from Hogwarts and the turquoise gray fabric is of a wolf so you can make up your own answer.
Response: Thanks for all of the hosting you do!
Response: Thanks! Two or three layers of collage in some spots. I had fun, glad you enjoyed your piece.
Response: I'll have to look at it vertically! I was viewing it horizontally with the hill of collage on the bottom.
Response: If you want to see the other 3, visit
http://atc-deck.blogspot.com/2015/04/4in1-red-collage-masterboard-postcards.html?m=1
Response: Xxoxx - can you tell that I had some fun with it?
Response: Thanks - I posted [more March found poetry ATCs on my art blog](http://atc-deck.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html)
Response: hope you can see how much fun I had! keep feeling better - it may take longer than you expect, wish I had extra patience to share.
Response: thank you - I really liked that ATC but I wasn't sure the "inspired by mountains" would come through!
Response: The bag's reversible, I hope I have said
Response: Thanks for your patience and generosity
Response: Glad you enjoyed them.
Response: I was just using the postcard as a base - and then I realized that the pig needed to stay. thanks for the heart
Response: I got some older unused stamps at 85% of face value - they are also "good forever"
Response: Thanks for the heart, and more, for hosting.
Response: I've been getting more 'interesting' stuff in my mail lately. good luck
Response: Thanks for hosting!
Response: Thanks for the heart, I've been enjoying these color collage PCs. but I don't think you've seen the "fix" yet, keep looking...
Response: No problem - I forgot I had mailed swaps together. thanks for the hearts.
Response: once I was sending in an envelope, it was the same price for 3! (and I really wanted to send you a B&W one, but I didn't have an "art" ones in black & white.)
Response: It's been below freezing since I mailed that, back up to 65 or so, and a dusting of snow once. All is melted but we can get frost anytime until Mother's Day. Glad you liked the PC!
Response: oh no! I thought the clay was all dry -- although I probably did touch up the paint some more in the morning. I'm glad I tried this swap, learned quite a bit. Thank you for your patience with a newbie on this craft
Response: was fun. thanks for the heart.
Response: so glad to hear! sometimes the hand-drawn swaps feel a bit risky. I can change my collage or sewing but not so much my drawing ability-style for a partner.
Response: Thanks for the heart & your patience. glue/adhesives are sometimes the hardest part of many swaps.
Response: Thank you. I played with digital manipulation/collage and then printed bits to cut out. You can probably only tell with the kitty faces.
Response: I had lots of fun with this swap - for both PCs/partners. Thanks for the <3
Response: Did you recognize the biggest circles? They are from the international forever stamps page.
Response: So glad, my sketch book is littered with partials and false starts for that one.
Response: :) I've decided I really should have a picture ready *before* I host a swap. I know I prefer to see examples myself when I join.
Response: Thank you. I do prefer to make two-sided dolls, maybe it's the challenge. I was surprised how different a Zetti doll was to create than a flat Zetti piece!
Response: There should be another enroute - I sent you both a "pastel" and a "bold" green & blue.
Response: It was fun to work on, thanks for the heart.
Response: I wanted to support your poetry investigation!
Response: I had fun creating them.
Response: Glad you enjoyed it. There may be a 2nd PC enroute too.
Response: So glad! I wanted a little steampunk for you.
Response: Thanks for the rating, I enjoyed finding textures for it.
Response: Wish my stamps were better sorted! I was just given a cigar box of cancelled ones.
Response: I usually cover mine in a layer of modge podge and they have been all arriving. Someone else told me not to cover mail art in tape as it hides the texture and reduces the art. Grumble, grumble <--- at the process, not at you!! Thank you, thank you for letting me know, and for the heart. Off to research adhesives ... Again.
Response: Love when things work out so well!
Response: Happy dance here then!
Response: What was the postmark? It was in a blue official Post Office box on 12/2 which was the "mail by" date.
Response: This artist was a challenge.
Response: Thanks for the rating.
Response: Just let me know
Response: Thanks for the heart
Response: Wow! great mail delivery - I sent them on the very last day :O Glad you enjoyed, it was a challenge.
Response: Thanks for the heart. I made the background and it had to sit a bit before I knew how to finish it for you.
Response: I've been having lots of fun with postage stamp heads - and trying to use the bulk rate eagle & bird stamps too.
Response: I love using older stamps when I have them - glad they're appreciated.
Response: Thanks! The headband was from a commercial pattern - but I found the skirt pattern online, let me think where...
Response: Thank you! I was surprised to see how wide a variety he created through his career.
Response: Fun but challenging swap! Thanks for the star.
Response: NP. Thanks for rating!
Response: That was a finished JAM (3 people had already done work on it) so it's yours - just thought you might like to see one.
Response: thanks for the rating & the heart!
Response: thanks for the rating & the heart!
Response: I had some fun with that one!
Response: I just thought you deserved two... Glad you enjoyed!
Response: So glad. I really enjoyed doing it/them. I was stunned how different the 2nd one looked, didn't expect that!
Response: Thought you'd remember if it had arrived early... :)
Response: :) so glad it arrived safe!
Response: traveling is havoc on rating! Thanks for joining.
Response: hey! hurrah. & this she arrived in good time.
Response: Yeah! I had a few starts before settling on the fish doll, I knew you liked animals.
Response: Arrgh! Sorry. I had covered it with either gel or modge-podge. Maybe another layer was needed? It did have lots of small bits.
Response: Thanks! It was a challenge for me.
Response: You are welcome!
Response: thanks for the heart
Response: Thanks for the heart, glad you liked it
Response: think it was profile based ;)
Response: Thanks for the heart. These are fun.
Response: Hurrah! I had piled the new fairy, wrapping & an envie this morning, but that was as far as I got!
Response: hurrah! I really like that one, I am so glad you do too.
Response: Thanks for hosting!
Response: I was trying to get "layers" into the ATC - then I realized just sliding it into an envie would probably not be enough. Thanks for the heart, have a great day.
Response: Thanks for the heart.
Response: Glad it arrived fully intact!
Response: I had fun picking through to get you a good variety that I thought you would like.
Response: thank you for the heart
Response: For a 7th grader, unless they have a really solid grammar background, I would suggest trying Latin from Lone Pine (online school) first with a more immersion sort of approach. Perhaps take "barbarian grammarian" from Lukeion this summer or in the fall.
Response: I bought them online for 85% of face value; cheaper than using forever stamps. Once in a while, the time to pick them out & check my math is a bother, but rarely, and so much more fun. I assume my mail will not be mistaken for a bill or junk mail when I use them :)
Response: Thanks for the heart!
Response: Thanks for hosting, and for the heart
Response: How odd! I mailed the ATC days before the postcard. I was thinking that the "bonus" should arrive with or after the trade.
Response: And you found the hidden one inside too?
Response: I had lots of fun with some single color postcards, so I had to sign up for this one.
Response: I did the layout online and then just taped a book page to a regular piece of printer paper & sent it through the sheet feeder.
Response: I had a rough time within - as did the personwhosent to me. I think I didn't use enough length on that last thin ribbon, without a serger, I thought fabric would be too difficult the.
Response: I had fun with that one!
Response: I think you rated the wrong partner - I sent you a holiday dog... Do I need to re-send?
Response: :) I had a hard time settling on what to do, so glad you liked it!
Response: I was sure that you'd love that one -- 'twas a bonus for my tardiness. The (real) hand-done one is enroute somewhere.
Response: Thank you. So glad to hear!
Response: The mail moved pretty fast! Wishing you lots of happy swapping!
Response: I think the fish cards are more different - but I knew you would like the vintage ladies & faces better!
Response: totally off (perhaps thankfully) from the actual defintion
Response: Thanks for the rating. You were my partner in at least 2 more ATC swaps already enroute to you.
Response: Thanks for the heart. I went from having one jam on my table to 4 in the past week, I'd better get busy!
Can you rate for "add a ticket" too?
Response: I was hoping all 4 seasons of tress I glued on might arrive - still working on adhesion technology! but as long as you knew it was a plurality of tress, I am satisfied.
Response: That one was so much fun to make
Response: Thanks for the rating. At one point I was thinking of using foreign food packaging as the base but this way you get it to use.
Response: Some of those other cocoa/tea lovers are not so welcoming of coffee, I was hoping it would be OK. :) I love that ATC.
Response: 11 days with no power, but friends got power back before the coldest days so we went there. We have gas so we had hot showers and could cook on the stove burners, but just too cold. Now we have power -- and gorgeous weather! Monday the town said only 5 more homes were missing power. We were lucky. I am happily surprised at the low number of personal injuries considering
Response: It is a piece from inside a watch. So glad you liked them all.
Response: Good luck ... If its too insane, I can do another...
Response: There's a PC enroute too - I should have waited to send the email, and perhaps have remembered that with Veterans' Day even late Friday mail would not start to move until today.
Response: They were such different styles, I could not decide which to use for you, so glad you enjoyed!
Response: Thanks for the heart
Response: We seem to go in cycles, I have you as partner swaps in a row for a while and then not at all before I see you again for a few swaps close together.
Response: Day 10? 11? Without power... I'll be checking my mail tomorrow.
Response: Thanks for the heart. Simple in a way, but I I'd not want to add a thing.
Response: There's another "draw this word" posted, i'm signed up.
Response: Thank you. It took me ages to decide what every day object to draw/send.
Response: Day 12? And power's back for us & most of the neighborhood!
Response: Hope the raitng was for the ATCs, but I hope the scraps were big enough for your use! I love fabric (& paper).
Response: Try this URL: http://www.satincord.com/knots/doublecoinknot.htm the last step is "over, uncer, over, under,..." and then just tighten it up as desired. I sometimes find it easier to do it with 2 cords togetehr, ans sometimes make ine and send 2nd color through to "trace" it. Of course, It is easier to show than to describe!
Response: I'm enjoying using the old stamps, glad to have them appreciated.
Response: Enjoy! Doesthis meanyour profile list will change soon? I had a different set picked out before partners were assigned. (don't forget to collect what was on the envelope)
Response: I had fun creating that one.
Response: Thanks for the heart.
Response: I was of two minds sending the swap picture! I think I will be doing more button fairies.
Response: Thanks for the heart. Love the "map of joy" title!
Response: Thanks for the hart -- and for joining my swap.
Response: Such a fun swap.
Response: Thanks for the heart, I had some fun deciding what to do for that one.
Response: The postage is the same for 1, 2, or 3 ATCs unless they are real chunky.
Response: Thanks for the heart.
Response: How do your store your mandalas? I have mine in sheet protectors for the short term but Want them in a booklet or album eventually.
Response: I like to use multiple colors for myself but figured I should limit myself to just one per tile for this.
Response: Glad I found some polka dots in my stash for you! Enjoy.
Response: Thanks for the heart.
Response: So happy to see that heart. Thank you.
Response: I think the peas are my favorite too. I made some toast with butter at the same time but if only looked "ok" IMHO, and I wasn't sure if adding a "winky" face would make it any better!
Response: I tried to send a variety, and support the "trade" part of ATCs.
Response: thank you - remember my uncertainty before sending?
Response: I had a good time thinking about what to do with the theme.
Response: As long as it arrived & you are enjoying!
Response: The multicolor sheets were scratch sheets -- if I forgot the wooden stick for them, most anything will work..
Response: Thanks for the rating & heart.
Response: I wasn't sure how big/small they could be for a thimble quilt.
Response: So glad you are enjoying it. I knew I was stretching the interpretation a bit, but when I did not see any pets on your profile, I was willing to risk it.
Response: So sorry the 1st didn't get thru... I'll sent you another collage ATC this week.
Response: You can Look at indestructables.com Fire-breathing dragon cake --- it is not the way I cut it, but it would give you one idea.
Response: I really wanted to give you a variety.
Response: So sorry! I had so many different ideas but I really liked that concept.
Response: Did the quilling paper make it? with spring nesting instinct I wasn't sure what would arrive...
Response: I was thinking of hosting a corset ATC swap; just so I could pass it on. Glad to brighten your day.
Response: Hurrah! Glad you liked it.
Response: I didn't want to give "Filly" but I was going to make sure she arrived safely and happily! Now I wanna do another.
Response: just missed the 2 swaps in the same envelope.... didn't realize until a day too late!
Response: good luck! Sounds like a real challenge. I hope you are moving too; a cross-continent commute is rough long-term. So glad you are enjoying the house, it was my first. I was happy with it, but I knew that might not have been 100% objective! ;)
Response: thought that if any of your garden gnomes came inside, they might like it...
Response: I really went back and forth on the wings for that bird. The pictures from their pattern looked good without them. I was quite happy with the way the tail detail worked out. I think the wings would need to be similarly stitched or quilted to match.
Response: A reflection would hardly be surreal, isn't it? More like someone's head has fish in it...
Response: I'll send you something else - esp. since I sketched that before partners were assigned & didn't know of your aversion to hand-drawn art.
But, what happened? did the back slide off?
Response: You just made my day.
Response: I read your profile & took a chance!
Response: Thanks! Glad you liked them both. I especially had a lot of fun with the "blue".
Response: I am so glad it arrived - I was just getting ready to send a replacement.
Response: Thanks! I figured I might as well use the same size.
I have another done in the same size but I had draw it on thinner paper. I am wondering if I can mount it smoothly enough to use it in one of the next swaps.
Response: I read you like beaches so that's what I tried. Love to see your set if you have a photo.
Response: I didn't want to give them up!
Response: I was nervous about the weave!
Response: I was so glad I was not counted as too noob for the swap. I thought of that card immediately when I saw it!
Response: Wow! Glad it got thru. I was using up my old stamps, thought most were old .27 with $0.02.
Response: Since you also work at preschool, I was assuming that getting extra might not be a problem.
