July 2020- Covid has made this year so crazy! The kids started remote schooling mid March. We got two puppies in June: Sadie and Scarlett. They are Lab/ Shepherd mixes and are sisters. We love them to bits.

February 2020- I will be on vacation from Feb 17-22, so I may not respond to messages until I get home. Thanks for your understanding.

June 2019- I’ve been busy this year with my art! I finished up my Design Team stint with The Robin’s Nest, and now I’m enjoying being a tutor on Mixed Up Creative! I’ve also just begun as a guest designer for Visible Image Stamps.

12/29/17- It’s been a great crafting year for me! My YouTube channel is up and running- my channel name is MotleyMixedMedia with Mary S. Come join the crafty fun! I’m on Shawn Petite’s Design Team, creating videos 1-2 x per month using her awesome stencils. I’m also going to be on Evaneys Stamp Designs Design Team starting in January 2018! I’ll be making cards with her cute stamps that will be on her blog.

9/12/16- I'm back! Finally got my new craft room functional and just signed up for a couple swaps! I am so glad to be crafting again!

2/14/2016- I'm taking a break from joining swaps for a few months because we are packing up to move into a new house! I may finally get a dedicated craft room instead of having to borrow my hubby's office. Yay! I'll still check in here and answer messages. I hope to be crafting with ya'll again soon! xoxo

7/10/2015- We had to put down Calle, our beloved shepard mix, today. :( In honor of her, please consider rescuing your next dog from a shelter.

I'm a wife and mom to a wonderful 13 year old and an awesome 7year old. We have 1 mutt(Neo) and live in the burbs of the Motor City.

All about my oldest son:

He's 14years old (birthday in September). His name is Evan. He's almost in 9th grade.

Fave Things: cars, trailers, YouTube videos, and Farming Simulator.

He loves Fortnite, non-fiction books, especially ones about the titanic and fire trucks, and learning about animals, and anything Nike and Adidas

Dislikes: mint flavored anything, veggies

My 8year old (Zane) is ialmost in 4th grade and loves cars and trucks, good books, legos, Fortnite Minecraft, and Star Wars.

Some of my favorite bands are Barenaked Ladies, Bon Jovi, Eminem, Black Eyed Peas, Alanis Morisette, Adele

I like most genres of music, but I do not like country,jazz, Christian music or elevator muzak.

Love, love, love books! I have about 500 books on my TBR pile. My fave authors are J R Ward, Tess Gerritsen, Lisa Scottoline, Jodi Picoult, and AJ Jacobs

I love nonfiction, paranormal romances, foodie books, cookbooks, medical thrillers and chick-lit!

Some fave movies are: Titanic, 13 Going on 30, Mean Girls, Crash, Grandma's Boy, Love Actually, Knocked Up, and Princess Bride, Deadpool, Star Wars, Guardians of the Galaxy and Pitch Perfect.

I love romantic comedies, dramas, and documentaries.

I have started making hand made postcards! I love to receive handmade (well made!) postcards in swaps. I also love postcards with maps and cities/ countries on them, like touristy postcards. I like to receive them naked and with something about you on them.

I love alcohol ink art and embossing!

My favorite thing to make on SB is ATCs!

I paint with acrylics, do counted cross-stitch and make bookmarks, too.

I also love ink stamps, gelli printing, using perfect pearls, and embossing (heat and dry).

I also tend to a lovely veggie garden! My zone is 5. :) I love growing tomatoes and peppers, as well as cukes and lots of flowers. My boys love to help me out with weeding and picking the wonderful veggies. DH will soon be making me another raised bed because we are running out of room!

I have at least 15 house plants, including dracaenas,several jades, and a spider plant, to name a few.

I love owls!! I collect them, and I even have two owls tattooed on my back! However, I don’t need anymore owl stuff at this time.

I love lace and tatting, and mushroom ephemera.

Favorite colors are turquoise, teal, pink, purple, orange and sage green.

My fave smells are almond, apple cinnamon and Dot perfume.

I like vintage items, hexagons, brads, realistic stickers, stencils, and peacocks.

I love, love, love to cook and have a mega collection of recipes.

Food: liver, white chocolate, sweet tarts
