If I send you mail that has postage due please let me know! ~~~~ Hello November
Welcome pumpkins, autumn colors, cool nights.
Ought to stop asking if things can get worse because they can. Well a nice thing happened this week. Sabrina my stepdaughter and her boyfriend got married. They came last month to visit and Massimo asked for permission and for Carl’s blessing on their marriage. And we gave it wholeheartedly.
Tonight though I received some bad news about my stepfather whom I have not gotten along with but I’ve been reconciling and healing that relationship over the past 5 years. He thankfully has forgiven me. But now his own children my step-siblings are staging an intervention tomorrow for him. They want to take over his finances and it’s quite horrid as I’m sure he would say that he does not have dementia but I’m not a doctor nor am I a lawyer. I haven’t been dragged into their dispute and I shall pray for all of them.
This is not the first family battle I’ve seen over finances. Francis my stepfather doesn’t have a lot of money but that makes it maybe worse? I don’t know what I would do when my turn comes. Many people on my Moms side of the family get dementia young and the. Have lived decades unaware of who they are with or forgetting you know from one sentence or the next. I fear that abyss.
So I send healing energy and pray to God for healing of my stepfamily and their struggle to communicated and control one another.
I’m setting healthy boundaries and not inserting my own will in their process. My husband feels left out of it all but I feel we are a distance that is sensible.
Also Carl my husband says that there will need to be a medical and psychological examination so it won’t just be lawyers. Oh man, I guess millions of other families deal with this everyday. But there seo thing sad about the loss of trust and respect and dignity.
Reading new books this month: Malcom Gladwell’s Revenge of the Tipping Point
Canoes by Maylis de Kerangal
The Vulnerables by Sigrid Nunez
Listened to the new Neal Stephenson audiobook Polostan. And a James Patterson short Audi called 7 Hours to Die. Next up is the new Malcolm Gladwell I am addicted to his sort of statistics and analysis I’m not even sure what it’s called but I love it.
As for physical hand held books I’m carrying around both Sipsworth by Simon Van Booy and Michiko Aoyama’s book: What you are looking for is in the library.

I don’t have any dislikes. Well I avoid the occult. I dabbled in it and I do it recommend messing around with it or my experience was frightening to me. Of course, results may differ for each person but magic, the occult, tarot and all of that stuff in staying away from now.
That said I do accept my own shadow and dark sides.
TV: on Apple TV I’m watching Pachinko and I am addicted.
Also Silo- I’ve gushed about Hugh Howey who wrote the books and is one of the executive producers of the show. He’s my jam.
Lioness by Taylor Sheridan who created Yellowstone another genius who writes and produces.
We’ve also been geeking out over the Martin Scorsese’s documentaries on Saints and filmmakers Michael Powell and Emeric Pressburger.
