I never realized it until I read your swap and your answer, which was 100% correct! (I have ADHD and sometimes I read too quickly and end up with a wrong answer. ๐)

Comment: Thanks for sharing. Advent was not part of my childhood. I was first "introduced" to it as an adult when I joined the United Methodist church. I participated in an Advent study last year. I am seeing the same issues with cleanliness with my students. It's as though they think the custodians are there to clean up after them instead of keeping the school clean. It's so frustrating.

My reading has not changed for summer either, I read what I like, which is usually mystery, murder, suspense and now and again for Bookclub I read something different - which is good to get me out of my "normal" reading! LOL! I have found some good authors through BC, things I would not have picked up on my own! I think I read "Small Great Things" - was there a baby involved? I enjoyed hearing about your job, yum hope the food was good, and oh we just lost our 18 year old cat. She was so hard of hearing and she slept a lot as well. We have 2 kitties now so we were glad for all those years with Marshmellow.

Comment: Did you get the kitty? Having a dog or cat around is a must for me. Thank you for the letter and some stickers you provided. My view of the eclipse was wonderful. We used my husbands welding helmets to view. We had 99 %.

I'm in a season right now too, where I feel the Lord is stirring me to get back into serving Him and sharing Jesus' love! It can be hard to think of all the obstacles in the way.... Like: a busy schedule, serving my family, rejection from people (because, let's face it..... so many people just feel like we're Bible Bashing when we trying to share love with them), and the fear of failure.
But the Lord keeps reminding me that I'm not responsible for the outcome! I am only called to sow seed, and to trust God to make it grow! If I make time for God and His Kingdom and have the faith to obey Him in the little things, He'll take my efforts, multiply them, and working them out for the good of his kingdom.
Don't give up! Keep fighting to good fight.

I've picked up on the habit of using scraps of cardstock or paper when doing it, too. <3 I spent all of last Saturday's energy packing this swap and the LSRUS version, for myself and another swapper. Yes, thank you, people often thinks that Alzheimer's just have memory loss and can't remember things. It is not true, and I'm pretty sure most of them really are haunted by their memories, exemple : one of our ex resident was always talking about what he saw during the Algerian war and he was able to describe everything in high details !
But he couldn't put the cap off of a marker and was trying to take shower in the water fountain.
Do you know the book : "The Man Who Mistook His Wife for a Hat" by Oliver Sacks ? The human brain is fascinating !
And YES rescued old dogs are the very best dogs ! Lucky was only 6 and a half when I got him, but he was at the shelter since a long time and nobody ever looked at him or considered adopting him, so yay, I had to get him !
