Country: Czech Republic

About Me

In the process of moving - new address updated.

Hello, I am 36 years old and I live in central Europe in Czech Republic. I like to explore my country, mostly mountainous areas, old castles (we have a lot of them :) and zoos.

If my swap didn't arrive for some time, contact me. I can resend.

I am: BOOKWORM. Give me a book and I forget everything and anything around me. I can read anything, but I prefer fantasy, supernatural, magic, historical, light novels. And Happy Ends.

STATIONERY HOARDER. I am making monthly tour around all paper shops in my city and look for new stuff. Mostly washi tapes, stickers and patterned papers.

CUISINOLOGIST. Is it even a regular word? Anyway I love to cook and try new things. Right now I am "researching" Asian cuisines.

COFFEE & CHOCOLATE LOVER. Just because.

SNAIL-MAILER I started to send letters to my best friend, when I moved with my parents as a young girl. And it kind of stick with me until now.

LANGUAGE ENTHUSIAST¨Currently I am focusing on Korean language, going slow and steady. And I plan to start some new languages soon.

ATCs. I found out about ATCs and I try to make some. I am by no means an artist, but I like the idea.

Favorite Books

Afted some break I found my love (and time) for reading. Genres I like: fantasy, supernatural, magic, travel logs.

Recently I read some memoirs, mystery and crime and enjoyed it, too.

Favorite authors: - R. E. Feist - Robert Asprin - Terry Pratchet - James Clavell

Book I recently read and liked: - I Must Betray You by Ruta Sepetys - Henna Artist by A. Joshi - Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir - Sleeping Giants by Sylvain Neuvel - A Curious Beginning by Deanna Raybourn - Legends & Lattes by Travis Baldree - Howl's Moving Castle by Diana W. Jones

I read books in Czech language which are not translated to English (and probably never will be).

I noticed I tend to read books mostly from American authors, so I started to mindfully pick authors from different countries to broaden my horizonts.

Favorite Movies

Top recent movies: - The Dune (the old one) - Harry Potter movies - Spirited Away (Ghibli Studio) - Howl's Moving Castle (there is a book, I didn't know)

Top recent anime - Apothecary Diaries - Ascendance of a Bookworm - Heaven Official's Blessing - The Morose Mononokean - Mushishi

Top recent series - Outlander - Bridgertons - Sherlock

About swapping

If you wonder what to send to make my day better.

I love STICKERS - floral - animals - nature - sea - space & sky - cute - cats - owls - forest - landscape (please, no fashion or food)

I keep POSTAL STAMPS - I am not "pro" collector, I just like to look on different stamps from all around the world.

I collect WASHI my collection mostly consists of floral and landscape washi. But I am open mostly to anything (EXCEPT scary and death and overly childish ones)

POSTCARDS / CARDS - places - nature - flowers - buildings (please, no technical or cars or sports) If you have some nice postcard from your city or with some landmark, please send. And if you write a thing or two about your city, all the better.

CHOCO & CANDIES - like to try new types of chocolate / candies / snack (dislike raisins in chocolate and liquorice)

PAGE OF NEWSPAPER - especially if you are non-English speaker :)

LOOSE MEMO PADS / PATTERNED PAPERS - any original, cute, with animals, with people, flowery, patterned

RECOMMEND ME A BOOK - did you read some nice book, add a title and author! I am always on the lookout for something new to read.

TELL ME ABOUT YOUR PLACE - did you visit a nice place, tell me about it!

Comment: I end up reading ebooks from my phone, and to do the quotes that I like I tend to take screenshots...Otherwise I just wouldn't have any quotes ( I like the little quotes from some of the books, so it's nice to record them in my monthly review).

Comment: I should add a count for offlist / off TBR >.< Merp, I don't think I could go back to 2024 records for that, but at least for this year I can start getting in that habit. How do you decided what to unhaul?
