About Me

Sarah - she/they - 30 years old - Austria 🇦🇹/Europe 🇪🇺 - I work in a weird in-between role of tech support and teacher 🧑‍🏫 - I live with my husband and one-eyed cat "Mister" 🐈- autistic, so forgive me if I sometimes come across as a bit blunt, I don't mean it :)

Likes

✅ Animals - especially cats, but also butterflies, corvids, dragonflies, bats... Foxes are cute but not my favourite animal, despite my username! 🐈🦋

✅ Cards and postcards that have been written on. I like to get glimpses into people's lives, traditions, countries...

✅ Anything handmade - you can always send me handmade cards even if it's not explicitly in the swap description! ✂️

✅ Languages and cards in different languages. I can understand German, English, Italian, Finnish and Spanish, feel free to write to me in any of these languages. 🇦🇹🇪🇦🇮🇹🇫🇮🇺🇲

✅ Nature, especially forests, mountains, anything floral ⛰

✅ I love travelling, so anything travel-related, e.g. tell me what to visit in your area!

✅ Colours: green, blue, pink, purple

✅ Glitter unless it's loose and shiny things, holographic paper and stickers, gold foil washi. I'm a magpie!

✅ Patterns, floral and geometric

✅ Photography (your own or store bought photography cards)

✅ Art, especially impressionism and urban sketching, but really anything handmade because I love seeing and learning new styles! 🎨

✅ Anything "unique", even if weird (think a weird postcard that you are not sure why anyone ever decided it should be printed)

✅ "Textured" cards that have some 3D or otherwise textured elements!

✅ Space themed stuff 🪐

✅ witchy and "creepy" things (think illustrations of skeletons with flowers, black cats, potions - no gory things) 🧙‍♀️

✅ cards with feminist/Pride/"stop climate change" slogans and messages on them 🏳️‍🌈

Do not send me extras please. I need to get rid of what I have.

Dislikes

❌ artwork or envelopes with lots of transparent type - it's difficult to recycle

❌ religious items and cards

❌ illustrations/photos of babies or children or drawings made by children 👶🏻

❌ not a big fan of apes, monkeys and horses 🐒

❌ balloons, I have a weird phobia of them 🎈

❌ Disney, kawaii, superheroes, anime 🦸🏼‍♀️

❌ fine and loose glitter that gets everywhere

❌ "toxic positivity" quotes and quotes like "live laugh love"

Favorite Crafts

✂️ papercraft, especially making postcards

✏️ drawing with ink or watercolour pencils, fineliner doodles, alcohol markers

✒️ writing with fountain pens and pretty inks

🧵 sewing - mainly clothes for myself and friends

Postal Service Info

Please be aware that my mail can be SLOW! I live rurally. The "post office" is just a supermarket, so I can't guarantee it will be stamped and processed the day I drop it off. ⌛️

If you haven't received anything from me 1 month after the sent date (Europe) or 2 months after the sent date (outside of Europe), please contact me and I'm happy to resend ⏳

Comment: Thank you Sarah! I feel your mood, and second it. I am one, who fears - not for my self, though. As a straight, white, priviledged woman, I really don't see the need to be afraid (well, except the being a woman part). But, in Finland, we were going in such a good direction allready with equal right to everyone, and I do mean everyone, regardless of their sexuality, how they identify themselfs, religion and so one. Now, we've started to slip towards these far right minded nutties. And, I fear, some of the blame should be directed overseas, for their undeniable influence. Take care! Be defiant! Be you, and be brave. Remember: one can't be brave, without being also afraid!

Comment: Oh No, what a terrible weekend! And you missed your grandma's birthday... aw, I hope you got over your illness quickly, and were able to celebrate with her, later? And bummer about your partner's grumpiness. I get why, but it's important and good to have different interests, and not do everything together! I hope you grow as a couple because of that!! Anyway, so sorry about your bad weekend and hope that things are looking up now. (hugs)
Response: We did catch up the weekend afterwards, which was nice!

LOL, you're a genius. I was wondering how the heck to make ink swabs. A brush makes total sense.... and I don't have a spare one for this purpose. Oy vey. Only makeup brushes in my house... but I'm not risking those, lol. I already get ink stains on my fingertips. I'm going to look super weird with ink stains on my face. Hahahaha... Anyway, cheerios!
