Iโm generally a positive, slightly scatty person person, the type who remembers big ideas but occasionally forgets where I put my tea, or spends half an hour hunting for my phone whilst holding it. Iโm eternally curious and love learning all sorts of things, whether theyโre practical, philosophical, or a bit weird and wonderful.
I love animals and nature and I try to get outside as much as possible. My pets are my happy place. When Iโm indoors, youโll usually find me writing, reading, studying something fun, knitting something cosy, or experimenting in the kitchen.
Movement is a huge part of my life. I work a day job for the bills and teach Pilates, barre and yoga for fun, they which keep me busy but also grounded. Outside of work, I spend a lot of time walking with my partner, reading, or catching up with friends and family.
I enjoy a pretty wide range of music. Sometimes I'm in the mood for Bastille and Imagine Dragons, maybe a bit of Mumford & Sons, or perhaps some Within Temptation. The sometimes I'll spend the day listening to Ayla Nereo or Edo & Jo and a bit of Kirtan. It depends on how I feel when I wake up and whether I need to pep up or chill out. Always open to recommendations if there's music someone is enthusiastic about!
I love paranormal fiction, never met a ghost story I wasn't willing to dive into.
Fantasy is also fun, especially with a comedy twist. Not sure if Terry Pratchett comes under that genre but I am a life long fan of all his work.
I like a bit of crime too, reading about it, not committing it!!!
History has been a fascination since I was young so I'll happily read both non fiction and fiction in that genre.
Not sure if I have a favourite book, I tend to be excited about whatever I'm reading in the moment but I do really enjoy the Ellie Jordan series by J.L Bryan
Don't watch much tv and I have the attention span of a distracted gerbil so movies have to be really exciting to keep me in one spot for long enough to finish them. However, I love Criminal Minds, Warehouse 13 (so sad when that ended) and Rizzoli and Isles. I also loved Supernatural when that was still running. I feel like these are all old shows and maybe I need to update my list!
I am a knitter, and have been determined to learn to crochet forever - it is a work in progress! Maybe this will be the year I figure out how to make that little hook behave. I'm also going to have a go at knooking...which seems to combine the two, so we'll see how that goes. Recently had a go at quilting and quite enjoyed that so I may do a bit more of that, but there's a little more learning to do before I'm creating masterpieces!
