Hi there!
I'm Lindsey, 25 years old, from The Netherlands. Two years ago I graduated, so now I'm a teacher on a primary school. I am also the mother of a beautiful German shepherd dog.
Sad news: my dear dog died on 20 January 2021. My heart is broken. I miss him terribly.
In my spare time I take a lot of photos. Not selfies, but I like to photograph landscapes and sunsets. I love nature: flowers, trees and even clouds! I've an Instagram account where I share photos.
I also love to travel! If traveling was free you'd never see me again. I've already been to London, Dublin, Rome, Krakow and some other places. I love meeting new countries and cultures. Swap-bot is also an opportunity for me to learn about other countries. Places / Countries that are now at the top of my travel list are:
Edinburgh
Copenhagen
Australia
New Zealand
I love Bullet Journaling and being creative. Recently I started to embroider!
Other hobbies: Geocaching, baking, reading, horse riding, walking, watch television/Netflix
I love reading! Especially Young Adult books. My favorite books are:
Pride and Prejudice
Harry Potter
The books of Sarah J Maas (Throne of Glass, A Court of Thorns and Roses)
Game of Thrones (Yes, I have read the books!)
Lockwood & Co
Outlander
I'm Netflix-addicted. My favourite series are: * La Casa de Papel
Sabrina The Teenage Witch
The Alienist
Sense8
Modern Family (Always makes me laugh)
Dicte
The Musketeers (BBC version)
Marseille
Black Orphan
Vera (The detective)
Sherlock (BBC Version) (I'm Sherlocked)
Series are the BEST, but I also love some movies: * Pride and Prejudice. That one with Keira Knightley. * HARRY POTTER
I would like to learn more about other countries and cultures. So I would love to receive mail that includes a little story, something about yourself or just a short sentence in your native language!
About other things I love:
*My favorite colour is yellow. 'Sunset-yellow' actually. Do you know what I mean? Hahaha
*I'm totally into the galaxy theme and the 'world/travel' theme. But I'm also into leaves and planets (botanical/nature theme).
*I'm also in love with animals: red pandas, dogs, horses AND unicorns!! Yes, that is an animal.
*I like stickers and washitape.
But actually.. I will like most things I could use in my Bullet Journal! I love surprises!
I like 'naked' postcards (not in an envelope) the most. But it's also okay if it's in an envelope (I do actually love Christmas cards that are in a envelope!).
I would love to receive postcards that display:
your town/area (or some other place in de the world)
animals like red pandas, horses, dogs, wolves and foxes. (no cats please)
nature (forest/mountains/northern light/sunset)
greetings from... cards
cards with bright, vivid colours
yellow
fantasy
galaxy theme
books
history
cards for my birthday (in June)
castles
mermaids
fairies
Harry Potter
I also like to be surprised!
I don't like cats. They don't like me either. Sorry haha!
And I would prefer not to receive religious things.

โThanks,โ I said. Creepy, creepy, creepy. I didnโt add that he smelled like meat. Not that I could. Apparently, choking helped me keep my mouth shut and mind my manners.
-Lish McBride, Hold Me Closer, Necromancer
Book quote, September
"My stomach broke into pieces and spun like a kaleidoscope. Dimly I saw my hand reaching toward it, lifting it to my nose. Cheap ink and old paper. It felt hot, but my arms prickled with goosebumps. I ripped it open."
The Hazel Wood, Melissa Albert
Book Quote- September
Here's an extra one since I re-read this Harry Potter book this month!
โIt is our choices, Harry, that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities.โ โ J.K. Rowling, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
Book Quote- September
โWhen new hopes fail, old hopes return in the endless cycle of desperation.โ โ Dean Koontz, Prodigal Son
