From Carlsbad, CA and moved to Portland, OR in 1996. We miss the ocean, sun and heat but Oregon is beautiful and we spend our time outside as much as we can.

When I think of the word "patience", I think of the Lord's patience with us. In Psalm 103, it talks about the patience of God toward us as sinners:
"The Lord is merciful and gracious; slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love. He will not always chide, nor will He keep His anger forever. He does not deal with us according to our sins, nor repay us according to our iniquities." Praise the Lord that He has removed our sins from us as far as the east is from the west!!
I also think of His patience toward those who do not know Him as Savior: "But do not overlook this one fact, beloved, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slow to fulfill His promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance."
We truly serve a great and merciful God! I hope you have a wonderful day meditating on these truths from His Word!
