Comment: Dear patient Jan, friend of mine...I was feeling ridiculously proud of myself for unearthing this BEAUTIFUL Inbox card, when I realized that instead of feeling proud of myself for plowing through my own dysfunctional mess, I should be ashamed and make every effort to keep this from happening again. I AM ashamed! I've let the days go by without doing anything constructive, and of course it carries over to my crafting area. It's ridiculous I am ridiculous! Okay, enough with the self-flagellation. I adore this gorgeous, sunny collage of goodness! I have never seen anything quite as creative as the wee safety pin used as the body of the butterfly (thorax?). I hope you don't mind if I steal your idea...it's too good not to! Thank you so much for putting so much effort into your little works of art...it shows, and it's appreciated! And thank you also for your patience and kindness. I did kind of let life take over (these two little bottle-baby kittens...so labor-intensive, but so, so worth every sleepless hour!), and I'm trying to get back on track. XXX!

Comment: Jan: Consider this one of my all time favorite ATCs from anyone! I love this little Chihuahua so much, and he even has an "L" on his sweater for Laurie! The background is wonderful, love the purple dice and "Rules for Playing" which I assume came from an old game instruction sheet? The the ephemera you have added to the background and the pretty lace and pink trim at the bottom. And I easily recognize Connie's style with this as well - so you two were perfect partners for this and really played off of each other's talents. And I love the little ATC binder card - we should feature those in a swap. Always fun to work with a different size and shape. Comment: Jan, this is just lovely! When I opened your envelope, I was instantly taken back in time to my childhood, when we visited the Japanese Tea House in Golden Gate Park (San Francisco). There was a little shop attached to the tea house, and they sold the beautiful geisha dolls that the geisha on the index card is holding. I always wanted one...but either they were too expensive, or my parents thought I wouldn't be careful enough to justify the expense of one of those beauties. (I resented the assumption then, and I suppose I still do!) Thank you also for the beautiful extras...you are a gem of a swap partner!
