I love postcards, but I'm not sure whether I prefer sending or receiving.

I prefer my cards written and stamped, I love a well-travelled card!

I like

• Multiviews, of any kind (my favourite, if in doubt send a multiview card)
• Castles, fortresses, city walls, anything to do with military history
• Science fiction and fantasy
• Heads of state
• Parliaments, town/city halls
• Belle and Boo, Beatrix Potter, Moomins, Hello Kitty, Dick Bruna, Elmer the Elephant and similar children's book and animation characters
• Paintings, especially modern art
• Single view of anything historic or iconic
• Anything with lots of colours
• Skyscrapers, modern architecture
• Seasonal cards, as long as its the right time of year
• Any card with a nice message on the back

Not my cup of tea

• "Funny", especially impolite - I do have a sense of humour but I admit not a good one
• Cards showing places in one country sent from a different random country.
• Seasonal cards at the wrong time of year
• Jetoy cats - Please don't waste these on me

• Photographs or realistic images of fish. I'm terrified of fish.

I am a huge fan of Doctor Who, I've been watching the show all my life. The first Doctor I remember is the third Doctor, played by Jon Pertwee :) My favourite Doctor is the seventh, played by Sylvester McCoy.

Otherwise I like science fiction, fantasy and police & crime dramas, and documentaries.

I really enjoy the Eurovision song contest, I genuinely enjoy lots of the music as well as the drama and glitz. I follow Eurovision gossip all year round. Otherwise I like popular music generally, I don't have a favourite artist or style of music, if I can dance and sing along I'm happy.

I listen to a great deal of spoken word audio, mostly radio shows and podcasts about history or Doctor Who, and I am addicted to a radio soap opera call The Archers (which has been running even longer than Doctor Who).

I live in York, England.

I'm female, middle-aged, and I live alone. I like my own company and I'm not comfortable socialising. That sounds really dull. Oh dear.

I really love Doctor Who, I watch or listen to at least one story a day. I try hard not to mention Doctor Who all the time but it does happen (looks up at sections above and sighs ...).

I enjoy writing, mostly my journal but also stories and haiku. My handwriting is quite pretty. I love writing and receiving letters, but don't get enough.

I play table-top roleplaying games (things like Dungeons and Dragons), I GM sometimes which is a great creative outlet.

I enjoy making paper models, watercolour painting, knitting and making things from fabric. My results so far I wouldn't send to my worst enemy, its the creative process I love.

I like learning about history, not in an academic way just in a fun way.
