I am mom to a daughter 58and 2 sons 55and 50..Grammie to 4 boys ages from 27to 17.. .Great grammie to a 6 month old boy.. I have been married to my best friend for 61years... Like the colors blue and green as my favorites I am a cancer survivor and live life to the fullest.. My hubby and I are amateur radio operators. Love Morse code but haven't had alot of time lately to do anything with our radio.. We live in Vermont full-time after spending many winters in Fla. Dont mind the cold as we are both retired and when the weather is bad we just stay home...
Love country music.I also enjoy Irish ballads and Celtic music.Like Alan Jackson,Garth Brooks,Reba,Carrie Underwood and others. In fact I like most country artists. At home I listen to alot of XM Radio with the oldies of country music..
Read alot of books by Debbie Macomber and Nora Roberts. Plus some books by Susan Wiggs. Also like to read Danielle Steele's books I met Debbie Macomber in person here in Fla.. What a sweet lady she is. Really enjoyed meeting her.Just started reading books by Tracie Peterson and really enjoy her stories.
I love to knit and sew.I knit for a shop making baby sweaters and childrens sweaters up to size 6.I enjoy knitting with a fingering weight yarn or worsted weight. Not into anything bulky I LOVE bamboo knitting needles and am still adding to my collection..I also do some card making . Have a limited amount of rubber stamps but am fairly creative with what I have. I do some paper piecing quilt type things. Mainly small projects. Hope to make a quilt someday but don't have the time now..Would love a handmade pocketbook or a bag to carry my knitting in. I like to do one skein projects. I like drop stitch cowls or scarves made with just one skein.Like fingering weight yarn.
I am an angel collector. Have many angel statues in my garden and my guest bedroom is full of angels. Also have one American Girl doll that I keep to model the clothes I sew for her ..My favorite yarn is worsted weight and fingering weight to make baby sweaters etc.Wool yarn s do NOT like me as I get very itchy if I try to use them. I like most colors, nothing bright and flashy but must say blues and greens are the ones I like best. I use straight, circular and dpn's needles and really have fallen in love with bamboo needles. I have been knitting for 55+ yrs so I am a advanced knitter.Do not crochet other than making a crocheted chain for drawstring for baby hats.. I do wear mittens and a scarf and hat. I enjoy knitting baby items and also make alot of knit dishcloths. Give the dishcloths as gifts mostly and do use some myself.I am knitting slippers and a lapafghan as Christmas gifts at the present time. I am always looking for knitting books with Aran patterns for baby sweaters. I knit for a shop making baby sweaters so would like some new patterns. I subscribe to Creative Knitting magazine but there isn't any other magazine that I wish for ..Do get many patterns off the internet.
Love to cook and usually do baking at least once a week. Make cookies mostly to have on hand in case company comes for coffee. But hubby has asked I not make much as he has been gaining weight and I am dieting and have lost weight. I love coffee but hubby doesn't drink it. He used to but decided he no longer likes it so now I don't have to share all the good flavors of coffee I have.
I like jewelry but don't have pierced ears so only wear necklaces and once in awhile bracelets

I am allergic to wool so please no hats, scarves etc made from wool yarns.Living in Florida calls for lighter weight yarns, sport, fingering etc. Thanks.
