About Me

I am nurse-midwife who loves to travel to Central America. My hobbies are photography, making glass beads and jewelry with them, collecting anything with mothers and babies or pregnant women and/or quilts, and reading mysteries. I love fireflies (lightening bugs), rainbows, & butterflies. I'm a people watcher-- I find people extremely interesting, especially older people & kids-- they are just so honest and knowledgeable!

Favorite Crafts

Photography- I really like B&W, but am learning to appreciate color more, also. Making glass beads-- I love "playing with fire" and watching the beads appear as the colors come together! Making calendars based on a person's specific personality & likes. I have grown addicted to ATCs-- I really love making & receiving them!

Favorite Books

Mysteries, mysteries, mysteries!!! Medical mysteries are fun as are those involving lawyers/courtrooms-- almost anything except "horror" stories. I also like books about women and different cultures, Central America.

Favorite Television

My all-time favorites: ER, NYPD Blue, WKRP Cincinnati, CSI, Home Improvement, Golden Girls, Designing Women, House, Antiques Roadshow, anything on the cooking channel.

Favorite Movies

Under Fire & Carla's Song as they are about Nicaragua. Comedies like Silver Streak, Sleepless in Seattle. Tear-jerkers like Beaches. I like mysteries & true life dramas, romantic comedies, pretty much anything except horror movies-- No Stephen King, etc.
