Hi, I live in the UK, originally from South Africa. I've been writing to pals for over 20 years. I love to travel, go to gigs, photography and keeping in touch with my pals. Over the years I've met loads of pals as well. I collect postcards, old maps, travel guides, etc. Dislikes aren't a huge list but perhaps no postcards of cats or religious stuff. Otherwise I'll swap any small items through the mail.

Favourite bands include: Low, Suede, Interpol, Kent, The Chromatics, Manic Street Preachers, Sigur Ros, Slowdive, Ride, Texas, Silversun Pickups, Abandoned Pools, Echobelly, Arcade Fire, Foals, Friendly Fires, Ash, Ivy, My Bloody Valentine, Alison Moyet, Deep Purple, Queen and many more.

Some of my favourite destinations include: The Netherlands, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Scotland, The USA, Italy, Germany, Spain & various islands. Although the travel list is still extensive and the future plans always changing.

I love most films, old and new, typical blockbuster stuff, Independent films, foreign language. My faves are a long list. And tv stuff: American and British series, I'm also obsessed with the Nordic Noir stuff, I like French series as well.

LIKES: Maps, retro stuff, vintage, brutalism architecture, history, landscape, city skylines, penguins, zebras, rhinos, elephants, reindeer's, travel, books (mostly non-fiction), Atlas Obscura, journals, collecting postage/ stamps, Scandinavia, NW USA & NYC, islands, the sea, music, photography, true crime.

DISLIKES: domestic pets, religious & political stuff.
