Hi guys :)
I'm a newbie from the UK who would love to start swapping with you all!
I have many different hobbies; I love reading and also anything artistic and creative (I'm not kidding I have a whole draw of art stuff >.<
I also have one cat (aptly named 'The Cat', which makes our local vets laugh) whom I love to bits :3
If something doesn't arrive, please give me a shout first so I can help resolve the issue - more than happy to resend when needed!
Favourite Candy: Basically anything with chocolate, or some sort of gummy sweet. I think if I wrote down every candy I liked I'd be here until next year, but I do really like Lindt chocolate, Kit Kats, Maltesers, Reece's Peanut Butter Cups and basically every type of Haribo. Again though I love trying new things and I will pretty much eat anything so don't go to too much trouble on my account!
Favourite Foods: I can't really decide at the minute but I really like anything spicy and/or meaty - perfect example of this would be Currywurst which I'm kind of gutted is only sold at christmas here at the christmas markets T.T
I also really like anything with rice and noodles, so I do really like sushi and ramen though I know that we most likely have a very watered down version of what would actually be sold in Japan. (Side note: I really like Japanese culture and I would really like to go visit someday and see everything for myself :3)
Favourite flavours: Off the top of my head, Lemon, Orange, Ginger, Chilli, Vanilla, Chocolate (though I will try basically everything and the only real deal breakers are pear, melon and grape shudders)
Favourite Drinks: I'm more of a soft drink person and tend to go for things like Coke/Pepsi, however I do like cider and trying cocktails and on a hot day a glass of Pimms and Lemonade is delicious :)
Being British, I do enjoy a good cup of tea (I know, such a stereotype). Whilst I generally drink something like PG Tips, English Breakfast, Earl Grey, or a herbal tea on occasion (I believe Twinings do a Lemon and Ginger one that is pretty good), I'm more than happy to try new flavours and take recommendations!
Also I have a weak spot for Starbucks Frappuchinos >.
I really like drawing and I often doodle odd things, as well as i'm getting into doing more photography now I have a decent camera! I do also like other crafts like card making, knitting and making holiday ornaments whenever the mood take me :) I have literally a draw dedicated to crafting in my room and I really should use more of it >.< I tend to just craft when the mood or a good idea takes me really.
I've also brought some ATC card bases and sleeves so I can give them a try as I think it's a cool idea to send mini artworks to other people :)
I am a sucker for a good Disney movie or other good kids film, I also really like films with Sci-Fi elements (e.g. Terminator/Alien series). Rom-coms are good too but it depends on the plot as sometimes they can be far too predictable.
As for TV I tend to watch a lot of things, I can't think of too much off the top of my head right now but I'm quite into series like Doctor Who and Sherlock, as well as liking other things like nature documentaries.
Also I really like anime, and I think a lot of them have better plots and character development than most of what we see on TV where I am, plus the animation is often really beautiful and it must take a lot of skill to make. Favourites include Ouran High School Host Club, Death Note, Blue Exorcist, Durarara and basically anything that is Studio Ghibli. I also really like the films Summer Wars and The Girl Who Leapt Through Time.
I'm also pretty into video games - I really like Pokemon (of which I have many many favourites but to pick something that isn't just the same general Pikachu/Starters/Legendaries, I quite like Shinx and his evolutions :3), and pretty much anything Nintendo (so Mario, Zelda etc). I'm not really what you would call a hardcore gamer - I'm more into being able to pick things up when I feel like it. Also difficulty comes into play as I tried Skyrim and died within 2 minutes bc i'm not used to those types of games - I really need to pick it back up and give it another try really because it's not that I don't like it or don't want to like it - it's more that I struggle a lot with the genre and that can put me off >.<
Also I really like the Project Diva series for the PSP/PS3 - I may have even imported a special controller for itรขโฌยฆ
The Rhythm Heaven series is pretty decent as well!
I will read pretty much anything, I'm that sort of a person. Classics, Romance, Sci Fi, Teen Lit, you name it I will read it and form my own opinion on it. I only really draw the line at Twilight and 50 Shades bc as popular as they are they're really not that well written IMO.
Favourite series though include Harry Potter, His Dark Materials (and I will add to this as I think of more things as my mind is on a blank >.
I like a wide variety of music, and will give anything a listen at least once. The only thing i'm not really that keen on is Rap and R&B - obviously there are some good songs in that genre but mostly it isn't for me.
My music tastes literally goes from Classical to Big Band, to Rock and K/J Pop. I will listen to most things, seriously. For an idea of what I'm into a lot though, the bands I have gone to see live in the last year are Maroon 5, Fall Out Boy, All Time Low and You Me At Six.
