Hi fellow swappers,
Well, my name is Anne and I am 27 years old. Actually, I am a foreign language secretary for English and Spanish, but back to education again. I love my dear kitty, little Hugo, and have a severe addiction to office supplies, TV series and tea.
I do read books, although you cannot find a 'favourite books' section here. That is simply because I don't want to list almost all books I have read in my entire life. Honestly, there is no favourite one. If I chose favourite ones, the others would become sad, I suppose. I could name the few ones I did not like though, but that is not questioned here. Because my brain is getting filled with unnecessary and tiresome stuff I need for school, chemistry for example, the amount of books I read for fun has shrunk dramatically and I am more for the 'light' readings like Jojo Moyes and Lori Nelson Spielman now.
I have been penpalling for years, love finding beautiful stamps on the envelopes, enjoy putting parcels together, am over the moon when receiving a postcard, cannot wait going stamp shopping, you know, the whole snail mail thing :)
Although I am not very religious myself, feel free to share your belief with me if you want to. Tell me your favourite Torah/Bible verses, Quran suras or passages of whatever scripture. Also, I like religious images like icons or so, but not necessarily Christian ones - I find something 'magic' in them; if you send me one, please let me know what it shows.
If you are my partner for two or more swaps at the same time, please send the stuff altogether! It is more favourable and more efficient, I suppose. I won't rate you down for doing so, never.
Also, please feel free to recycle packing like air cushion envelopes or so. I do that myself. Generally, I do use anything possible for packing from wrapping paper to tea packs^^
If any problems occurred, read here:
Generally, I do send off swaps before the deadline. If I am not able to do so, I will let you know and ask for a respite.
If you have any problems with sending out your stuff on time, please inform me about it. I am basically friendly, patient and will understand. However, if I haven't received anything from you after a few weeks after the mail deadline, I will contact you and if you don't respond with a reasonable excuse or an other unacceptable reaction, I will rate accordingly.
I mark my swaps as sent as soon as I put them into the postbox or hand them out to the post office, because I fear I would forget marking it as sent if I wait longer. I don't have any influence on when the postboxes are getting cleared or when they collect the mail at the post office, therefore the date from here might differ from the stamped date on the piece of mail you receive.
If you receive any broken or damaged goods from me, please let me know so that I can resend something. I always do my best to choose some nice and useful things and it's a pity if something goes wrong during its journey. I will be glad to make up such mishaps.
Orange is the new black (Pennsatucky), Breaking Bad (Marie Schrader), Desperate Housewives (Bree), Grey's Anatomy (Cristina), Hart of Dixie (Lemon), Mad Men (Joan), The Moomins (Little My), Weeds (Celia Hodes), Emergency Room (Kerry Weaver), SATC (Miranda), Mike & Molly (Victoria), and last but not least Roseanne (Darlene).
Attention, I am allergic to woodruff and ramson!
I don't like too strongly flavoured cinnamon and vanilla ones, most chai and white teas and Pickwick (except slaap lekker).
Apart from that, I drink any kind of tea, really. Green, black, herbal or fruit, all are welcome :)
What I especially like are spearmint/peppermint and 'good night' teas.
I prefer tea bags rather than loose tea.
I would love to discover regional brands which are not or hardly available elsewhere.
My all-time favourites are the Nordqvist black teas like Keisarin Morsian.
// for bigger tea swaps: I have a 750 ml flask that I carry along every day. Since I don't drink coffee, I always have black or green tea in it - not just for the taste, but also for the caffeine, you know ;) Anyway, I need three bags for one filling, so feel free to send three of the same (black or green) even if the swap says no duplicates or no more than two of the same.
Most Important:
no multi view
no 3D
preferably not handmade
no free advertising for postcard swaps
dated, stamped and naked!
What I extraordinarily like are city views (skyline, street scenes, high-angle shot, something like that). Heart guaranteed.
I collect postcards of European capitals, any of these are very welcome.
Also, single views of monuments, memorials, churches/cathedrals/mosques/temples and other important buildings are interesting to me. But please give me information about what I see there - heart guaranteed.
Lately, collecting US state cards became more and more appealing to me, so that I decided to collect them by now. I know, my 'collection' is small, but I am sure my swap partners will help me to add more ;) Heart guaranteed.
The state cards I have: South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, Michigan, Kentucky, Georgia, Texas
The state map cards I have: Georgia, Virginia, Florida, California, Michigan, Kansas, Wyoming, Maryland, Indiana, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Oregon
I also like postcards showing a book somewhere, ballerinas, wild felines like cheetahs and tigers, goats, blowballs - heart guaranteed. Cards that show something from my like list - heart guaranteed. Cards that show nothing from the above mentioned and nothing from the below mentioned - surprise :) Cards that show something from my dislike list - no heart.
If possible, please no food, pets, horses and penguins (other wild animals are welcome), children, beaches & palm trees & sea (lakes are fine) & lighthouses or comics, including Diddl and Hello kitty and that stuff.
I am fairly okay with cards from postcard books, I often use these myself since there are usually lots of wonderful cards in them... but, whenever I use one of them, I cut off the perforated border, if there is one, with an art knife, because I think that it looks nicer then. Just an idea for the ones among us who don't do it :)

luscious nail polish (no yellow or orange, no pastel)
journals and notebooks
scented candles / tea lights
incense sticks
these cute butter knifes with little figures on top, I really love them
useful knickknack like sturdy coasters, nice lighters, pretty soap dishes, pillboxes, cookie cutters... you know what I mean ;)
sticky notes, washi tape, stickers, fun-shaped paperclips etc. are fine as well
... surprise me, I am convinced there are lots of things I don't even know yet that I need them ★
Pages of news papers, non-glossy, in your language are always very much appreciated!
¡please don't send chocolate or candy unless it is a must for a specific swap, because I eat way too much of it anyway!
Attention, I am allergic to woodruff and ramson!
owl or mustache themed things
key chains
bookmarks
seasonal and boring note cards (unwritten)
magnets
unwritten postcards
cosmetic products unless they evidentially do not contain parabens
hair accessoires
coffee
I will highly likely pass those items to people who like it.
