I'm a helpdesk tech who would rather be crafting than computing.

I collect turtles. I like non-silk fake flowers, containers (baskets, purses, pouches, boxes), snowflakes/stars, craft books. I love beads - favorite are 1-cut, 3 cut and opalescent seed beads. Beautiful touchable yarns also come home with me frequently (cottons and pretty shades of feltable wool/soy/alpaca especially)

I love decorating my home with handmade things, more so when I know the artist who created them. My favorites are a pastel from one of my husbands oldest friends, a cross stitched geisha and a pen and ink dragon from my brother-in-law.

My favorite color is a deep shade of green. I also like blues, blue and brown together, friendly shades of sunflower yellow, earth tones, and deep reds/wines. I tend to dislike pastels and neon colors.

I have seasonal allergies and sensitivties to scented things - especially lavender

I like making things from pretty beads or yummy yarns.

Working with beads - my favorite is making beaded flowers. I’d like to branch out into metalsmithing (copper and silver) when I get more space. I crochet, preferring to make purses (though recently I've branched out into making afghans and baby blankets). I am also a beginner knitter, mostly learning to make socks. My newest obsession is learning to sew - starting with little zippered pouches.

I like learning new crafts and immersing myself in learning the details about it and really understanding how things go together. Plus I get to collect and look at craft books.
