[ UPDATE 7th April 2024. I fell on my way to work yesterday as there was fresh snow on ice - twice. 1st one was nothing, but 2ed was nothing but. I went to ER and ended up spending nearly 9 hours there. They made my cast twice. I just hope it do the trick and I do not need surgery - will know it within 10 days or so. I will have the cast for 5 weeks, so at least 5 weeks on sick leave as my work is very physical. I hope I can get back to it, but if I won't then I will figure out something else, not my biggest worry now. I never have broken any bones before, and having a cast is new to me. Luckily, it is my left hand, and I'm right-handed. I will do some swaps here and there since I know mail keeps my spirits up. ]

I have loved snail mail since I was a little girl (37 years old now). My mother wanted me have some fairly cheap hobby so we searched me penpals when I was around 7 years old and barely was able to write anything. I never stopped, tho I had some years I had just one penpal to write with.

I am also swapping decos, FBs, slams, bags and such. I used to swap them in my teens and then took a loooong break.

I´m laid-back penpal, so outside organised swaps, it might take me some time to reply - I see snail mail as an awesome and dear hobby, not something you need to get done with or perform fast.

Beside letters and snail mail, I love my cats, knitting, watching Netflix & Twitch, quiet lifestyle, and videogames. Animals in general mean a lot to me; we used to have dogs, mice, rats, fish, hamsters during my childhood. I´m just too lazy to have a dog on my own, haha!

My favorite colors are black, and green.

I´m not native English speaker, so I make mistakes. A lot. Please do not mind too much of that.

I have lived with my 78 years old mother since June 2023 due her health issues. I often also show her postcards and such I send/receive. She always says how adorable things there is these days when it comes to penpalling world :)

I send mail out by Air Mail and Economy - most my private swaps I sent by Economy these days, some organised ones as well. Please feel free to contact me if you have any problems; I believe solving them by communicating. I will re-send, of course.

I´m introverted geek. A loner, but I do feel loneliness sometimes. For me, snail mail and books are ways to feel less alone in the world. It is slightly different now since I do not live alone anymore as I did before for almost 20 years.

I have a fear that I´m not creative or talented enough, tho. That is one reason why getting back to swapping was a bit scary as I used to stress it too much and lost the enjoyment in it.

Now I´m older and worry slightly less about such things.

I do not really have many dislikes, really. Not when it comes to receiving mail at least. So, I could say I dislike making dislike lists as I rather focus to things I really, really like. I´m more "and" than "or" person as well.

Otherwise things I dislike are:

• "Animals in funny clothings"-pictures on cards/stationery (real ones; illustrated are ok tho - this is pretty much only swapping related dislike of mine, and kinda odd one as well)
• Violence (in games etc. I´m fine with it, tho)
• Pushing religious thoughts to others (I´m fine by religious otherwise and telling about personal beliefs as well)
• Rudeness (we have so little time on Earth anyway)
• Judging people by their work or status etc
• Animal cruelty
• True crime (not all, tho)
• Hate (I can understand traumas, but... you know what I mean)
