Bible passages to read and reflect on this week:

2 Thessalonians 1:1-2:17 (The Key Passage is 2 Thess. 1:4-5)

Paul was proud of the Thessalonians for loving one another well and for persevering even through trials and hardships. Do you face pain and hardships in your own life? Do you know what it means to suffer? Know that God sees your suffering. He is near to the brokenhearted. He binds up your wounds. He loves you with an everlasting love and promises to never let you go. One day He will wipe away every tear from your eyes. There is a better place. It is heaven, and it is our home. We are but aliens here on this earth, in this fallen world, passing through. Make the most of each day. Relinquish your suffering to God. Trust Him for a brighter tomorrow. He has not left you alone, even your hardships and trials are serving a purpose. There will be a new order one day. God promises us this. He will make all things right again, and there will be no more suffering.

What is your current affliction or pain?

Have you ever suffered for the Kingdom of Christ?
