Description:

For this swap, we will create one collage postcard for one partner. The theme of the postcard is SUMMER. What says summer to you? Sunshine, summer storms, the beach, vacation?

The Rules:

  • The size (and shape) of the postcard is up to you. Minimum requirements are 3ร‚ยฝ" high by 5" long.
  • Your postcard should be original work; no scans or reprints.
  • Use a sturdy base, i.e. bristol, recycled cardboard from boxes, postcards you have that you don't care for, etc.
  • Feel free to add mixed media elements to your collage, e.g. paint, drawing, ink.
  • Once your postcard is complete, you will send it to your partner, NAKED and STAMPED. Do not forget to list your username & swap name on the back of your postcard. A nice note, greeting or quote to your partner would be great, too :)

Have fun! If you have any questions, feel free to ask in the comments, or send me a PM.

i don't mean to be difficult, Stephanie, but I have to ask: why are you limiting the size of the postcard so much? What I really dig about postcards, as opposed to ATCs, is the wide range of sizes and shapes allowed. I'm used to working with the USPS upper limit of 6 1/8" x 11 1/2".

I was just going with the standard sizes for mailing with $0.29 postage - I was not at all trying to limit anyone's artistic expression. Though, seeing as this is International, $0.29 postage would be right out anyway, so I can edit the maximum sizing requirements.
