Description:

Since this is a smaller type swap, I am making only an international one. Postage shouldn't be too much.

What you are going to do for this Swap is take a medium sized Altoids tin. Something like this: http://www.jetcityorange.com/Altoids-tin/AltoidsRedLED.gif

You are going to decorate the Altoids tin in a sewing theme. Put buttons, pieces of fabric, lace, ribbon, etc on it. The tin must be fully covered on all sides, except for the very bottom. It must look very neat and not like a child did it. The inside of the lid and tin does not have to be decorated.

See how these Altoids tins are decorated on all sides and look good.

After you have decorated your Altoids tin, you are going to fully fill it (until you can not fit anything else in it) with sewing supplies.

The following list are items you MUST put into the tin.

  • 3-5 Hand sewing needles (include the black paper they come on with them on it)
  • A metal thimble (not a plastic one)
  • Needle threaders (send at least 3, doesn't matter what kind you choose)
  • A small sample sized spool of thread (these usually come in basic beginner sewing kits) Not the kind wrapped on paper, but an actual small plastic spool.
  • A piece of lace at least 6 inches long
  • A piece of ribbon at least 6 inches long
  • 5 buttons
  • A few (3-5) very small scraps of different quilter's quality cottons. Each piece must be from a different fabric, so check your fabric stash. Be sure the pieces are at least 1/2 inch in width and 3 inches long each.
  • And if you have room and wish to......include some goodies of your choosing.

These items can fit because I have tried & done it. You'd be amazed what you can put inside an Altoids tin.

By the time you are done, your Altoids tin is going to be full & may be a bit difficult to close, but it is possible.

Sorry, but no newbies (no or less then 10 ratings).

You will have a month to put all of this together and send it out.

No 3s or 1s within the last 6 months.

Everyone MUST have something on their profiles & MUST have a 4.9 rating or higher.

I will be willing to angel if someone gets flaked on in this swap.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact me.

Does anyone wanna make a quick swap with me for an empty Altoid tin before this swap? We don't have them here in Sweden and I'd really like to join... If you're up to it, please pm me :)

If you are wondering why I changed the date, it is because I recently had a death in the family.
