Description:

This is a swap for anyone who observers Yule or the Winter Solstice as a spiritual or significant time of the year. We will be filling large padded envelopes with 5 or more items to send to one partner. I request that everyone keep it as cheap and handmade as possible to try and stay away from the consumerism that has been devouring the old traditions of the holiday season. newbies are welcome but I ask that in order to make it easy for your partners everyone has a well developed profile. All swappers are required to have a 4.5 rating or higher to participate.

Here are the items we will send:

1) something(s) natural that can be found in your area during this time such as pinecones, seashells, stones, seedpods, ect.

2) A homemade gift. (if you have requests please specify here)

3) Something related to Yule or the Solstice such anything with sun imagery incorporated into it, winter themed items and tree ornaments.

4) Another little special gift. Homemade works for this to. I was thinking of things that could be used in a celebration or ritual. Like incense, essential or scented oils, votive candle, smudge sticks, mulled cider mix, teas or a recipe for a special treat.

5) A Yule or Solstice card with a note to your swapper.

Is this an international swap?

It most certainly is an international swap! Thank you so much for asking. I realized I didnt specify after I created the swap, then forgot about it so anyway thank you for asking so that everyone knows. :)

It was brought to my attention that if you get an international partner you should keep in mind that you don't want to send anything that bugs could be hiding in. This is how a lot of pests travel from place to place and usually countries and some states are not to found about having alien bugs show up in the post. Anyhow if you have a partner over sea's you should try and make sure there are no insects tagging along. Good things to send to make sure of this are rocks, shells, ect. But please donรขโ‚ฌโ„ขt let this inhibit you when sending to other partners in your particularly your area. particularly your area.

Some countries have prohibited items. You can't send shell, bone, wood or any other organic matter depending on where you are sending to and from. The harboring of insects is one reason.

This is a link to the international mail manual. http://pe.usps.gov/text/imm/welcome.htm

International participants, if you know of something that will cause trouble for you as far as customs, please post it here for us. Thanks. I love sending different organic items, but know it can mean trouble with the postal system.

If you end up with an international partner, you may want to look up their individual country for any restrictions. Wouldn't be a fun swap for our international friends if they got hit with big customs duties and fines.
