Description:

Hi everyone

I know this swap was held last year by someone else here - please yell at me if it was you and I will gladly mention your name on here. :) I thought I'd love to give it a go this year, too and hopefully you'll be interested.

Get yourself a cardboard / plastic / styrofoam / whatever material egg - which is box-like, but egg shaped. Fortunately this year I've been able to find a cardboard one here in a shop - last year that was a problem. The measures of mine are 19x12 cm - ish. It's difficult to measure an egg. So your egg should be somewhat this size, a tiny bit smaller is ok - a tiny bit bigger is no problem, either. Mine has a lid on top, but they also exist as boxes. So whichever version. Just make sure you can close it in some way.

Please, decorate the egg - you can choose to do this in a lovely spring themed way, or a pagan way or mixed of course. Decorate it in a way that you'd prefer to keep it rather than sending it away. ;) You know what I mean! And please fill it - stuff it with goodies for your swap partner. Examples: some incense, crystals, spells, herbs, a pendant, an oil, etc. Please write in the comments if there's something you can't receive (if you're allergic to something or really, really can't stand something).

Suggestions? Comments? Please PM me - I do check comments on here, but PM is faster. Thank you! :)

1 swap partner No no sends or other trouble, please - if you'd like to talk a bad rating you received, please PM me.

Please natural incense only and no incense sticks, also essential oils only as I use them to apply as well as in baths. :)

Can it be a plastic egg? I will hunt for some cardboard ones but I've never seen one here. I know I can get plastic ones to decorate and fill. On watch for now.

Hmh, let's see if you find some cardboard one - maybe they start selling them now that it gets a bit closer to easter... else we can see if anyone else joins the swap if others would be ok with a plastic one? I think decorating a plastic one may be a bit tricky. :p

O'K. I'll keep hunting :>)

fingers crossed :)

I was the one who held the swap last year, so glad to see one again this year :D
Not sure I can join though, our eggs here tend to be smaller then the one you have Naurwen, the closest I have found is 13 cm.

Gofeen 02/24/2011 #

Oh! I realise the kind of egg we are talking about now. I didn't read the swap properly. I was thinking about the little eggs you get about the size of a real egg. Still watching for now.

tinnuwen 02/24/2011 #

whoops :) Well, if you really really can't find a big one, an alternative would be to make a couple of small eggs, filled ones.

tinnuwen 02/24/2011 #

@LadyBathory I was thinking that mine is pretty big. I think the 13cm would be ok. If mine's the biggest one, I'm alright with that. As long as they're not smaller than the 13cm, so everyone would receive a fair sized one?

Gofeen 02/24/2011 #

I found some styrofoam 15cm eggs. Would that be O.K?

tinnuwen 02/25/2011 #

wow, styrofoam? And they're also ones that you can fill? Never seen those. I'll send out an email to at least one person I know may join and ask if they're ok with it.

ATTENTION: I've updated the swap info: other materials than cardboard are ok, too. :) Just remember: You should decorate the egg on the outside - make it your best! :) And then fill it with goodies as well - handmade or bought - stuff it well. :)
