Description:

I was thinking... how about a decorated and then filled Easter Egg swap? This is an idea - so if you've suggestions we can discuss and I'll update the swap. :) Let me know! This year I was lucky to get some cardboard eggs meant for crafting - mine are about 18cm tall and 11cm wide (on the widest part of them). So that's more or less the size. You can decorate them: paint them, glue paper, pictures, ribbons, embellishments, fabric, etc. onto them. And of course you should fill them. My eggs open at the top, they've a lid (so I'll have to spend some time thinking how to make sure they don't spill out!), but I've seen others online that are more box-type.

I'd say for this swap you get some type of cardboard egg, no matter how it opens up, but open it must, and about the size I mentioned - more or less. A bit smaller is fine, bigger is no problem of course. :p You'll decorate the outside and then fill it with things for your swap partner: those can be handmade or from your stash or bought or a mix of all of that. It's really up to you. You can make / get / choose anything you like really: You can make this a cute spring-ish themed swap, or make it a true I-bite-you vampire egg, or a total mix of things and themes. Make it something your partner will enjoy (I've no doubt we'll have problems with that ;))) - can be things and themes you know they will like or maybe also some(things) that you think they'll enjoy. We've all swapped with each other for quite a while by now and I think we all make and choose great stuff. :)

Let me see if I can hunt down an egg like that before I join. Great idea! :)

Great - fingers crossed. :) If you find something smaller only you could make two smaller eggs instead of a big one or so. I know that the sizes may not really be the same or not available... :p Hint: sometimes they sell those cardboard eggs decorated already (with just a picture print on them), so they may be sold in a decorations area of a shop. :)
