Description:

Break out the collage sheets, ephemera and the distressing ink! This swap is all about vintage and vintage-inspired images. I came across some stickers that I had of vintage-looking girls and women, and I also have some great collage sheets that I got online, and that inspired me to create a swap using vintage items.

You will be making 4 inchies each for 2 partners using mixed media. You can use collage sheets, ephemera, scrapbooking paper, rubber stamps, anything from the Tim Holtz line, distressing ink; anything that will make your inchies look like something you might run across in Grandma's attic----well, except, they don't have to look like that you actually FOUND them there .... ha ha.....no dirt or cobwebs! Just make sure you will be sending your best work to your partner.

For this swap, I will take those that have completed at least 5 swaps, and have a rating of 5 or more.

If you are having trouble finding images, Google "free vintage images" and you will find some sites that have some great stuff available.

hmmm....lots are watching, but only 3 joined? Aww...... :( well, we have until the 31st...

Make that 4 - I'm in. ;) (Just wanted to be sure I had enough vintage-style images and whatnot before I joined!)

What is an inchie?

Marryth 01/26/2011 #

@alwayschic - The help section glossary has lots of terms covered, but I pulled this from it for you:* Inchie – A work of art, similar to an ATC, that is created on a 1″ x 1″ square background. A variety of mediums may be used as a 1″ x 1″ base, e.g. cardstock, wood, glass, shrink plastic. Embellishments are made of paper, glass, wood, plastic, stickers, pictures, or any medium.*

Hope that helps!

I would have joined but I don't have a perfect 5, but I do have 1000+ positives and a 4.99
