This can be a hair comb decorated with pearls, natural beads, shells or anything else that catches your mermaid heart. Or you may carve your comb but it must be wearable. The construction should be sturdy for repeated use and a comb your mermaid partner would be proud to wear amongst the land lubbers or at least make their mermaid heart smile if they are shy. Have fun!

LOVE this idea, just to verify, can it be EITHER a comb to use OR a comb to wear?

I think a comb to use would be a hair brush. This confused me at first as well, as the first thing that popped into my mind when I first saw the swap was the image of a pretty hair brush.

It was meant to be a decorative comb to wear in your hair. Had made a whole group of combs for a wedding on the beach for all the little girls in the wedding and they kept calling them mermaid princess combs. Some of them were like the example above by wolviechick but decorated with pearls,shells and beads and some were tiara style. Maybe someone can host a swap for a mermaid brush that you use to comb the hair. I was planning on doing one on a mermaid's hand mirror later in 2011.

The comb isn't by me. I found it on a google search, but yeah. =P I want to join this swap, but I'm so busy the rest of this month and beginning of next. I will catch the next one. =D
