Project Fairy Tale Runway – New Year Ball

I edited this swap to allow for participants to list more than one character in the comments section. When partners are assigned, you will choose one (1) character from your partner's preferences and design for that fairy tale character. :)

It’s your time to shine as an haute couturier for the fashionable ladies and gentlemen of the Land of Make-believe! How would you feel designing ball gowns for the fairy tale character that chooses you to be their designer for the upcoming grand event of the year? Honored and thrilled of course! You are about to kiss the feet of your new patron but decided against it and remembered that you are a dignified person so you just finished your cup of tea in one gulp, gasped, coughed a couple of times, and proceeded to toddle happily to your workstation and begin to work at once. Lol.

Here are the guidelines for this swap:

• Design two (2) evening attire/gowns for the fairy character of your partner’s choice in a clean letter-size paper. You are welcome to go beyond the required 2 designs if you want.

• The designs must be hand-drawn, of course.

• They can be contemporary, traditional, vintage, or anything. The sky’s the limit!

• Draw the front portion and back portion in a single sheet. Add a title or a name for your design.

• Any medium can be used for coloring, shading, or adding accents.

• The sheets can be folded to be cost-friendly.

Now here comes the fun part: When you receive the designs, you will choose one that your character would like to wear to the New Year Ball and put it in the comments on your rating. Also in the comments, write a review of the designs your partner sent to you and say it like you are the character of your choice.

An example of a rating comment by the Big Bad Wolf:

Your creations are simply splendid but I much prefer the black ensemble over the moss-green. I have a reputation to uphold and it simply won’t do to tarnish my wicked look with something colorful! – The Big Bad Wolf

Your actual comments can be added after the character’s comment.

Please do not criticize the way they are drawn. Some of us are not a pro when it comes to drawing and we’re all here to have fun designing outfits.

Please mention your choice of fairy tale characters to the comments below so your partner will know as soon as partners are assigned. It’s ok if someone has already chosen your characters. When partners are assigned, you will choose one (1) character from your partner's preferences and design for that fairy tale character. Of course, you will mention in your swap who they are designed for. :)

All members of the group are welcome to join. I will be checking profiles very carefully before assigning partners, of course, and I’m hoping that there will be no questionable and inactive participants. :) No recent ratings of 1 or 3 for the past six months, no unsent/late swaps on the dashboard, and have logged in recently before assigning partners. You’re welcome to send me a PM to explain your bad ratings and I may take it in consideration. I will gladly angel if any flaking happens.
