Description:

Who has a mini Halloween tree? Do you need more ornaments? Mebee some HANDMADE ones?? I sure do!

This is the first in a series of monthly Halloween ornament swaps I will host. The theme for this month will be….. The Grim Reaper!

For this swap we will be making one 1.5 – 2.5 inch handmade Grim Reaper ornament. You can use any materials you feel comfortable working with (fabric, paper, beads, paint, etc). This is sender’s choice but it is always recommended that you check your partner’s profile so you can make it an extra special package. Please make sure you put effort into this. Only send something you would be ecstatic to receive yourself.

I decided to make this an international swap. Since the ornaments are really small the shipping should be fairly cheap. I'm setting an automatic rating limit of 4.9 just in case there's anyone lurking around in our group with a lower rating. No recent unexplained 1's or 3's also.

Details:

  • You are sending 1 handmade Grim Reaper ornament to 1 partner. You can use some elements that are premade but the ornament must be mostly handmade.

  • The ornament has to be between 1.5 – 2.5 inches in length or width (not including the hanger) and it MUST have a hanger (wire, ribbon, fiber, etc). Just make sure the hanger is sturdy enough for the weight of the ornament.

  • Please package your ornament carefully. Especially if it has 3D elements and if it is fragile. Package it in bubble wrap or a bubble mailer. Whatever is available to you but as long as it can adequately protect the ornie. You wouldn’t want you hard work being destroyed in the mail!!

  • Please don’t forget to rate your partner when you get your ornament. And please be fair when you do. Remember this is sender’s choice. Even if you don’t like the ornament as long as it is handmade and meets the requirements then you should rate a 5.

I welcome any ideas you have for future themes. Just send me a pm with your thoughts.

Have a blast and thanks for joining my swap :D

Is there a gallery of some of these anywhere? I'd love to see what they look like before signing up, to make sure I'm going in the right direction.

Here's a pic I found on Flickr. But use your imagination. You can make it out of any media you want. Also look up SpookyHallow on Flickr.
