Description:

The idea is originally by @aprettykitty84 and I asked her a while ago, if I may host an international version of her usa version and as there seemed to be interest, I decided to create the swap. All credit for the awesome idea goes to her and thanks for letting me host this.

Here are the rules, I am keeping them the same, just tiny adjustments :)

As this is an international swap, be prepared for higher postage costs. Please also ask from your local post office, if you can send the tube like this. NO envelopes. :) I would advice you to take a picture of it, before you send it, if it gets lost, but please, like always, be ready to replace a lost swap :)

The swap:

Get an empty toilet paper tube (the cardboard thing that the TP is wrapped around).

Tape up one end-adding a piece of paper just larger than the hole between the tape and tube, will prevent your goodies from sticking to the tape.

Stuff your tube with goodies. Checking your partners profile is great, but not required. Be sure to include something that has the swap name and your username on it so they know where it came from. Include only things you would like to receive, no trash! Ideas for goodies

  • small hard candies
  • skinny pack (5 sticks) of gum
  • matchbox car
  • brads, eyelets, ribbons, and other small embellishments
  • sticker sheets that can be rolled to fit the tube
  • small rubber stamps
  • beads, buttons, threads, etc
  • jewelry or jewelry making supplies
  • cute socks
  • single serving drink mixes (that you add to a bottle of water), tea bags, kool aid
  • something handmade (I bet matchboxes would fit!)
  • the possibilities are endless! Be creative.

Tape the other end of the tube-again, include a piece of paper so the items don't stick to the tape

-> Address your tube

-> Decorate the outside-I have found it easier to decorate after it is full, it holds it's shape better.

-> You will have two weeks to send to your partner once partners are assigned.

The nitty gritty rules: Sorry, no newbies this time. No 1's or 3's in the past 6 months. I always hate banning people, but if you do not PM me, I will ban this time! :(

4.9 rating or above. At least 10 rated postal swaps. Please PM me if you feel you have been unfairly rated and would like to join even with a lower rating than required. :)

This is on my watch list for now. Just wanted to ask a question though, would it be ok to wrap the whole toilet role in brown paper after filling it? as i don't think Australia post would let us send it unless it had the standard brown paper around the outside. Thanks. :-)

I would say everyone tries to send it unwrapped. IF that does not work I'd say it is fine to wrap it. :) but preferably no packet/letter :)

I'm tempted to join this swap... It sound's interesting. I'm just worried my post office won't let me mail it in a toilet paper tube. Has anyone had issues with that before?

I tried it once and it went well. :)

Maybe you ask before signing up if they really take it like that, to be sure?! :)

I guess I could do that... I've gotta go to the post office tomorrow to mail a ATC swap. So I guess I could ask them then if they will let me mail it like that. Thank's :)
