The General:

This swap is to exchange paper scraps cut from security envelopes! If this sounds crazily unexciting to you, I suggest you look here and be amazed:

You can find security envelopes in your junk mail, your bills, or perhaps even in envelopes received from previous swaps! Ask your friends, they may have cool security envelopes they were intending to throw away. The required size of scraps is on the smaller side, because you will need to cut them out of envelopes while avoiding flaps, glue, windows, et cetera. We still want usable sizes though, and if you can send even bigger that is always better! I lucked out and got some pretty giant security envelopes (voter ballot return envies ^_^). All scraps should be different, but I noticed some envelopes have similar patterns. So say you have two envelopes with identical patterns but in different colours-- that counts as two different scraps. I've also seen two identical patterns but one is small scale and the other is noticeably larger-- that will also count as two different patterns. Remember, try to send a good assortment!

The Deets:

You will send 1 swapper five (5) paper scraps from five (5) different security envelopes.

  • The scraps must be a minimum of 3 inches by 3 inches

  • The scraps must all be different

  • This swap is international because postage should be minimal, plus other countries may have excitingly cool designs!

  • Swapper must have a rating of 4.8 or higher, with no recent 1's or 3's. If you DO have 1's or 3's it is in your best interest to PM me an explanation as I will not chase people down so they can participate.

  • Newbies welcome with well filled out profiles as long as they PM me first to prove they are a real person and not a robot with laser eyes.

I am giving lots of time to sign up for the swap so you can start collecting envelopes now!

I will be checking through profiles as people sign up as well as before I assign partners. I am looking for a flaker free swap because it does take time to find envelopes with different patterns and to cut them out. This is my first swap and I want it to run as smoothly as possible. : )

This is awesome. I actually just discovered the joys of security envelopes a few weeks ago. I use them to make stickers on my xyron. The patterns just look so cool!
