Handpainted/Dyed/Embellished Fabric

I love fabric!!! With a passion, I love all kinds of fabric, but I especially love handpainted fabric! So let's make some.

General Directions:

Determine the type and size of your base fabric. This can be any type of fabric. I've used cotton, muslin, felt, silks, preprinted fabrics. They can be any size, I usually work large and cut down.

Decide how you want to embellish this fabric. Try paint,dyes, inks, stamps,other fabrics, paper,fibers, foils,glitter or anything else you can think of. The thing to remember is that this fabric is going to be used so be sure your embellishments are permenant or permenatly attached.

any of these are a good place to start. Remember there is no need to draw you can alway just blend colors or try an abstact!

Rules:

1) you will be sending two DIFFERENT 12x12 squares to your partners.

2)you will have TWO partners for a total of 4 squares.

3) All finished squares should be DRY and Pressed to heat set.

4) All fabric should be enclosed in plastic and then placed in mailers.

5) Any special care instructions should be enclosed.

6) a breif synopsis should be enclosed detailing the process and supplies used.

7) This swap is international.

I will not Angel this swap so all participants must be a 4.5 or above. No no sends or flakers of any type,including late mailers. Newbies are fine with complete profile. Please send only fabrics you yourself would use. These fabrics can be great works of art independantly,so let's treat them as such!
