I Saw It On a Bumper Sticker ATC Swap

I love smart-alec humor and I've seen some really cute bumper stickers lately. To keep this quick and inexpensive, you'll have one partner for which you'll make one ATC. Simple.

Not everyone likes the same sort of humor, so we're going to play this one very safe. Here are the criteria for the quote:

• No swearing (cuss words, in other words)
• No sexually related or inappropriately suggestive quotes. (I live near the Chesapeake Bay. There are local crab places that sell bumper stickers that say "I got crabs from Bob". That's a no for this swap. Inappropriate.
• No "humor" related to any body function (NO gas, burping, throwing up, PMS, erections, etc. Save that for junior high students.)
• No local-to-you references that the rest of us won't understand. (Local radio stations for example.)
• No politics!! (This includes NO peace, war, political party, or politician specific joke, quote, or pun.)
• No religion!! (This includes NO pro-life, pro-choice.)
• Nothing about another race, country, ethnicity, gender, or sexual preference. (If you think that is material for comedy, don't sign up.)
• This is an international swap, but if your quote is not in English, please add the English translation as a part of the ATC. (It's not funny or cute if we can't understand it.)

The necessary rules regarding construction:

• Must be standard 2.5" x 3.5" size.
• No flimsy ATCs! If you can fold it in half, it's too thin.
• No stickers on cardstock. If you use stickers, make sure you add plenty of other embellishments too.
• Neatness please!! Take pride in your scissors work.
• Your ATC should reflect the theme of the bumper sticker quote. Don't make a background, add a few embellies, then hand-write your quote.

A good example: A space themed ATC complete with stars and planets with the quote "Beam me up, Scotty. There's no intelligent life down here." (One of my all-time favorite bumper stickers. Don't make one like this please. Use your creative gifts to come up with one on your own!)

**Flakers suck and should be banned. Don't be one of those people. **

I think coordinators have the responsibility to angel if someone flakes in their swap. So, I will, but I will NOT be happy about it. If you realize you can't meet your commitment, let me know as soon as you can. It's not fair to your partner.

I pride myself on making really nice, well made ATCs. I expect the same in return. I'm going to be checking profiles. If I think you're already in too many swaps, I'm kicking you off this one. It's also not cool to receive an ATC from somebody who spread themselves too thin and couldn't make a nice ATC because they had too many swaps going on.

You should begin to make your ATC right away. This one isn't partner specific. No reason for late mailings!
