Photo Challenge- Smiley Faces in Inanimate Objects
Swap Coordinator:AgentWoods (contact)
Swap categories: Photography  Newbie  Email
Number of people in swap:7
Location:International
Type:Type 1: Electronic
Last day to signup/drop:December 11, 2009
Date items must be sent by:January 15, 2010
Number of swap partners:5
Description:

The new American Express commercial makes me giddy every time I see it. You know, the one where they find faces in inanimate objects? To get an idea of what I'm referring to, see the commercial at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m56F4EKN9hg

In this swap you will electronically send 5 partners pictures of at least 3 such faces you have found in the world around you. We'll set the deadline out in mid-January so there's plenty of time to keep an eye out for things :D

Picture quality is not all-important. If you catch something with your cell phone camera, that's great. Smiley is okay. Frowny is okay. Just try to make sure it's definitely recognizeable as a face. Subject could be a single item's features or a grouping of items, but should be FOUND. No fair making up arrangements on your own!

Swap is international and open to newbies. I will angel if necessary.

Cool idea--just wondering if 5 is a bit many.

I LOVE this idea! I, too, just stare at the tv whenever I see that commercial. That is one aspect of photography I love, when you have to look at things just a little bit differently.

Awesome! I'm glad everyone's excited about it. :D

I was thinking 5 would be okay since it's just an email send. Does anyone else have any concerns about that number?

One way to make things easier for your fellow swappers would be to open a free flickr or photobucket account and upload your pictures there. That way, you'd just email the link to your photos instead of multiple large files.... but would requiring people to use such an account be too much?

These can be hard to find! I lowered the number of pics to 3, but feel free to send a few more if you've found them. Have fun, everyone! <3

Turned out not to be too hard to find 5. Fun challenge, thanks!

I second that - it was harder than I thought!

I just found out I missed this one when someone posted a link on a similar swap I'm hosting.
