Description:

I've been reading "Shelf Discovery- the teen classics we never stopped reading," by Lizzie Skurknick. It's a collection of essays on YA books, that many of us as young girls (and maybe boys) read over and over and over and over. Until pages were falling off and covers became detached.

Many of these books shaped who we are as people, our ideas of love and relationships or showed us that we were not alone.

After finishing the book, I started pulling my favorites off my shelves for example, "The Witch of Blackbird Pond." by Elizabeth George Speare, and "A Long Fatal Love Chase" by Louisa May Alcott. And I noticed that the detached covers would make wonderful postcards. Hence the idea for this swap.

Choose 3 favorite YA novels that you read repeatedly both as a teen and maybe also as an adult. These can include the classics like "Little Women" and "The Secret Garden" or modern novels like "Twilight" and "Harry Potter." And anything in between, "Are you there God? It's me Margaret" and "Summer of Fear" for example.

Send 1 cover (or a picture of the cover, if you can't possibly part with the cover of your beloved book) as a naked postcard to each of your partners. Write a brief note on the back of the postcard telling your partner approximately the number of times you've read the book and why you kept re-reading it.

Note: You can either send the actual cover, take a photograph of the book, or choose a GOOD quality image to print from the internet.

*I apologize for the incorrect formatting of the book titles, but I could not figure out how to underline in this box.
