Description:

I like the idea of using recycled materials for craft projects. I am good at using things people send me, but not so good at "finding" items and using them in my art.

This is your task, should you decide to accept it. Make 1 card for each of 2 partners, for a total of 2 cards. Use at least 80% "found" materials.

For example, your ATC blank could be a cereal box, cut to the required ATC specs. Your background paper could be a brown paper bag. The sky is the limit, as long as you don't go buy a bunch of materials.

If you would like, please feel free to tell your swap partners what materials you used in making your ATC, and where you "found" the materials. (This is not required, though.) ;-)

Have fun, rate quickly, and be kind to others. :-)

I usually try to use "found" items in my art. This looks like a fun swap!

maestraw 06/ 8/2009 #

Disney-You can most certainly use your stash. I want us to use and reuse! :-)

Katarina-I have cut old note cards and used them on ATC's. I have also used old books, old game pieces, old pictures. Thanks for sharing ideas.

Maybe as part of this, we can send our partners the information about where the materials for the ATC's came from? What you ya'll think?

Just signed up for this swap. I'm a newbie, is that ok ? Just ready to send my first package ever out tomorrow ...

I'll be watching this for now. It sounds fun, but I've already got quite a few on my plate right now and have not yet been rated! (Still waiting for ratings...)

psychedelikat -Hope you come back and join us. One way to get some ratings is to ask someone to do a personal swap. Just set it up, and then you can rate each other.

Anyway, welcome to swap-bot and congrats on your precious baby!

I love this idea, I use found objects in my art all the time... It's amazing the colours of "usable" trash laying around out there. I'm going to love this one.

I'm in! Funny, I was drinking some tea with lemonade while reading this swap, looked down at the label on the bottle, and a bell went off.

Funny how that happens.

Serenity and Wendy-I am so glad you are with us on this swap. I can't wait to see everyone's creations.
