I'm running this swap in the Chapters and Chatter group but decided to run a public version as well.

I enjoy being pushed to read a bit outside my usual genres and I know the same is true for other people as well, so I thought I'd post a series of reading challenge swaps.

Each time I'll list 5 challenges.

Pick ONE. Read (or listen to) the book for that challenge.

Then send a letter to your partner. Tell them what you read including the author and the title, and which challenge it was for.

Make sure to include your swap name and the name of the swap!

In the letter, write at least a paragraph about about the book. What was it about? Did you like it? Did you dislike it? Was it already familiar to you or was it a new departure? Would you recommend it as a good read? Anything you like really -- but do write more than a brief sentence.

CHALLENGES FOR SWAP #1 (remember, you only have to read one book -- not all five!)

(1) A book published in the 19th century

(2) A book set in France, Germany, Italy, Spain or Sweden

(3) A craft book

(4) A book whose title starts with G

(5) A book that has won an award

I'll give us a longish amount of time for these swaps. But you can obviously start reading as soon as you sign up -- you don't have to wait for partners to be assigned.

Newbies are welcome with filled out profiles. I will angel if necessary -- but hope it doesn't become necessary!
