Bible passages to read and reflect on this week:

Philippians chapter 2 (The Key Passage is Phil. 2:14-15)

Paul calls the Philippians to lay down the selfishness in the first part of Philippians 2. Then, in verses 14-15, he instructs them to be found blameless and pure by avoiding complaining and quarreling. It's a tall order when he asks them to "do everything without grumbling or arguing." EVERYTHING?! This would mean that even when they are clearly right, they need not stir up an argument... Even though this letter to the church at Philippi was written many years ago, it sure hits home today! As you move about your day today, avoid complaining. Say no to quarreling. See if it makes a difference in how you feel when you lay down your head on your pillow tonight. You can find peace by following this sage advice from the apostle Paul.

About what or whom do you complain most regularly?

Are you argumentative? If you are not sure, are you brave enough to ask someone close to you if they consider you an argumentative person?

Did you have any other thoughts or questions from your study this week? Share your thoughts!
