Word Maps

What is a word map? Relationships between words can be illustrated through word maps. Create word maps by writing the focus word in a central circle and then by brainstorming related words. Link these brainstormed words to the focus word as in an elementary mind map.

Requirements for swap: - The word maps for this swap need to be words that relate to the same topic or theme.

• The word map needs to be visually attractive (a mini-art work in its own right).

• You will be assigned 3 partners. Each partner will then supply their swap partner with a topic or theme that they would like a word map of. (You can give each person in your group the same topic or a different topic - the choice is up to you!

• A word map is a great source of inspiration for crafting!

• You will be required to make 3 word maps and be willing to mail internationally. Postage should be low for this swap.
