Description:

Do you have a bunch of beautiful pocket flips or mail folders you've received and can't bear to throw away? So do I! Let's give NEW LIFE to OLD CRAFTS by re-purposing decorative mail we've received by adding extra embellishments and filling it back up with goodies to pass along!

For this swap you will take a mail pocket, pouch, folder, pocket flip, etc that you have RECEIVED from someone else, and use it as a base to create happymail.

You will ADD your own flair however you are inspired by the original piece, for example adding drawings, paint, embellishments, ephemera, or swapping out some of the stickers and covering different areas with deco.

It's a great opportunity to use damaged or broken crafts, and frankenstein-ing them together into wondering new!

Then you will do a decorated mailer envelope to match the theme.

Then you will fill the pockets/flaps with flat goodies such as stickers, die cuts, notecards, ribbon, ephemera, hand decorated tags, washi samples, recipes, etc.

This is senders choice, and you should only join if you will not be offended to receive an altered version of a craft you have sent in the past: this swap is a sign of respect and love of the re-used art piece!

Don't forget to include a friendly note for your partner, with the SWAP NAME and your USERNAME.

Rules

  • no flakers
  • no damaged or junky items
  • including extras is welcome unless your partner's profile says no extras
  • no recent 1s or 3s
  • aim for one-stamp postage (flat envelope) and if you exceed that, do not rate down if your partner doesn't go 'overboard' just because you were extra generous
  • the craft component does not need to be something you spend all day on, crafts should be well prepared and thoughtful, and designed to spark joy in your partner REGARDLESS of skill level
  • have fun and look after yourself, stay healthy and safe, and don't panic!
  • no ableism or discrimination or judgemental conduct allowed in any of my swaps.
