Description:

It's been a very long time since I've posted a swap for this group and my interests haven't changed much but I have learned a lot more about mixed media and using fabric art with paper crafting. My two favorites! I just like to switch it up a bit! Enjoying sewing and stitching again, my first craft I learned and still love it! Been trying to find a simple swap for those who may be interested in slow stitching. Do you like to make Teesha Moore patches or fabric ATCs, art quilts, Dottee Dolls pages for a fabric journal? Then this is the swap for you! If there's enough interest maybe we can do a slow stitch project in fall when summer isn't so busy. Your feedback is welcome and appreciated.

In the comments section list three colors your sending partner can choose from to send to you. If you do not have your list posted by the time partners are assigned I'll have to assign partners for those who have their list posted.

  • Choose one color from your partners list and choose that color in all the pieces you send. There of course be other colors but primarily in one color chosen.

What to send (you can send more if you want, but rate a 5 if you receive everything from the list)

  • 2 pieces fabric at least 5"x7" in size

  • 3 pieces trims or laces at least 12" in length

  • 5-6 pieces that are either a patch or can be used like a patch, aprox. 1" or larger. Or a mix of both. For example you can stamp on solid color fabric and cut with a die or handcut to make a shape like circles or hexies around the stamp. Or you can cut cute or interesting prints from fabrics. Just be sure you leave enough space around the shapes for stitching and/or stabilize with heat n bond. I'm working on gift kits now that I'm trying out the heat n bond with.

  • Small baggie of embellishments This could be beads, buttons, charms. Use your judgement on this. Please send enough for at least one project.

  • 3 pieces sender's choice For example, something tiny you made 1"-2" in size, embroidery floss, or anything else you can think of that your partner may like. I'm sure ya'll have more ideas! lol

This is a US only swap as it may require a package to send. Please feel free anyone who would like to host an international swap. I retain the right to ban anyone that has late swaps on their dashboard or according to the group rules. I want us all to have a great swapping experience! Hope you all have fun with this and will join me!
