Description:

I am so excited to continue the Halloween ATC swap series for this year! There will be 9 months of ATC swaps, so that by the end you will have an entire 9 pocket sheet filled up. Join one or all - there will also be a make-up month in October.

We are going to do something a little different this year - instead of an overall theme for the series, we will be focusing on different crafting techniques each month.

For February, will be making an ATC featuring a faux handmade paper technique. I came across this video while looking for videos for paper making. This looked super fun and not difficult, so I tried it and I loved the results. You will only have to do it ATC size if you want, or you could do an entire sheet and cut it out and use the rest for something else.

(sorry, you will have to cut and paste)

Even despite the ads (hey, we all have to pay the bills) I found this video very informative. You should think about using items that are Halloween themed, certainly a Halloween napkin would work great for this.

After your paper is finished and cut down to ATC size, you will need to add a few more elements - you can add brads, gems, rubber stamped image (although I found it hard to get a clean image when I stamped directly onto the paper, so perhaps stamp on another sheet of paper and glue it on. You can also add die cuts.

You can also draw, paint, or collage onto your paper but try to leave a bit of the handmade part show.

Enclose your ATC in a plastic sleeve once it is dry and send your ATC inside a note card with your name, swap name and a brief note to your partner.

Each month will feature a new technique - Here is the line up I have planned so far:

  • Jan - tape transfer
  • Feb - ATC with Faux paper finish background
  • March - ATC with a coin
  • April - ATC from a collaged masterboard
  • May - ATC with a non-Halloween postage stamp
  • June - ATC with moving parts
  • July - ATC with a pocket
  • August - ATC with book page collage background
  • September - Shaker ATC
  • October - make up month or senders choice

Many of the swaps will have a link to a youtube video for ideas and/or inspiration. If you have any questions on any of the upcoming ATC swaps, just let me know.
