Description:

Letโ€™s create a collaboration Holiday Card! Start with a half page of card stock or blank greeting card. The card can be up to 5X7 inches and should fit in a standard greeting card envelope.

Divide the front into the assigned number of spaces. To illustrate, I'll say 4. This number will depend on how many sign up for the swap. Divide the front of your card into the sections evenly so each artist has room to work.

Number each of the squares in a corner. Decorate the edges of your card if you like. You start. Pick a square and put a holiday themed doodle/sketch/ drawing embellishment in it. Use whatever medium you prefer for your portion of each card you work on. You can do the same thing every time, or not, as you prefer. You may use any of the holidays between the start of the swap and mid-January as a theme for your art. There are several, so there should be something for everyone. You can state any preference or theme on the card you start.

On the inside, draw numbered lines across the left side of the card. Add a Holiday greeting on the number of the section you worked on, and sign your name. Now put it in an envelope and send to the next person in the RR. Again, I will send out the sequence and addresses once everyone has signed up. We are ignoring the SB assignments except as a way to rate each other. We will each get our card back and have a wonderful greeting card from all of us.

Any questions or concerns, contact me. Youโ€™ll need to wait until the swap is assigned before you start your card since you won't know how many sections you'll need.

Iโ€™ll leave plenty of time to create, but please send promptly to the next person so we can get these back in time to send out if we choose to part with our creation. All swaps must be sent by the deadline!

I will post the sequence to send once sign up ends and partners are assigned. We will be ignoring the assignment and sending in a RR circle. For example, if 10 people sign up, weโ€™ll have 2 RR circles--one with 4 and two with 3 members. Those in the group with 4 will send to 3 others, those with 3 will send to 2. Trust me, it works! I've done it before like this.

Spread some holiday cheer!

USA only just because of mail delay concerns. If you'd like to start an international version, please feel free to do so! **Also, please be aware of the potential for slow mail and don't hang on to these long! Plan out what you want to contribute ahead of time, if possible. This is not a swap where you must try to base what you do off the other panels! I've loved how these have turned out in past years and look forward to a great 2020 version!

Fun idea. The only possible issue is the send date, simply because mail has been so slow. If everyones swap must be sent by Dec. 18, that doesn't give it much time to get to 4 different people by then. I would just ask people, to please be understanding of slower mail times right now. Have fun.

And, thank you so much for hosting this swap.

Hmm. I was allowing a week for each person to send it on, assuming there are four in the swap. Remember, we are not using the SB assignments, except to rate at the end. I was trying to be sure it would get back home in time, I"ll move it to the 20th. I hope we get some more to join with a longer time frame!

And yes, please do consider mailing time and delays as possible. That means--don't wait till the last minute to get your cards sent out!

So, there's only 3 of us. That makes is simple. Let's keep the assigned partners to send to first.

Then we'll send it to the next person and that person will send it home. I'll send out an email with the addresses.

Thanks for signing up!

So we don't mark this SENT until we have finished the 3rd installment and sent it home right????
