Have you ever thought about writing a novel but didn't know where or how to begin? This month is set aside each year to do just that. November is National Novel Writing Month when writers across the globe set out to write a 50,000-word novel in 30 days. That's right, 30 days! It can be done. NaNo is run by a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. It's free to participate. If you write just 1,667 words each day, you win the challenge of writing 50,000 words in a month. At the end of 30 days, you’ll have a rough, first draft of a book. No, it won’t be perfect, but it will be written. Getting to the 50K word count is done on the honor system. So it’s a personal challenge for every participant. Have an idea, but don't know where to start? Here are some resources: For this swap, you will do four things:
We have a group right here on Swap-bot that supports and encourages wrimos (the people who do NaNo) and a group on the NaNoWriMo site. Join the NaNoWriMo Swapping group here on Swap-bot or the Swap-bot Wrimos group on the NaNo site. Feel free to join both. Current members welcome to join this swap. Snail mail. International. Newbies welcome with a complete profile. Rated players should have no 1s or 3s this year and must have a minimum rating of 4.95. I check all profiles before assigning partners. |
