Description:

Hello fellow cryptid hunters!

For this swap, you'll be making a journal to put your field notes in and then passing it on for other cryptid hunters to add to.

Journal can either be hand made using any method you want or purchased. It should not be any bigger than 5x7 and no more than 30 pages. Try to do a smaller book for ease of shipping.

When starting your journal, design the front and back if you want. It can be as plain or detailed as you want. Use the first page(s) to introduce yourself and add your address and username so it can be returned to you. Then pick a few cryptids and write about them. Write as if you were hunting for them and give as much detail as you can. Where did you find them? What did they look like? What were they doing? Did you find where they live or what they eat? Were you camping in the woods for two weeks before you spotted them? Make sure to add a picture. Artistic ability not required.

Then send it out to your partner. When they receive the journal, they should add a couple of cryptids in a similar way.

Making up entirely new cryptids is totally okay.

Have fun and let me know if there are any questions! This will be a series but I only plan on about 4-5 swaps for it. Also, first time hosting so if I missed anything, please let me know!

I couldn't find anything with only 30 pages, but I found a small notebook that should still be easy to send with 40 pages, is that ok?

Yes that would be fine! I just wanted a lower page count for easy mailing.

Awesome, thanks! Also if anyone is curious, Dollar Tree has many cute, small, mailable journal options right now! :)
