I have loved being involved in the wonderful Swaps and have decided that as I now have a few under my belt I would venture out and try to create one of my own. After a lot of pondering, I looked around my little sewing area and saw all of my pins just strewn about…that’s when the light bulb went on over my head! Since I couldn’t find any current ones running, this swap is for Handmade Profile Pincushions! You will send 1 pin cushion to one partner (no pins please). Take a look at their profile and see if you can make one that fits their profile likes or interests. Please take your time with it and make it something you would be happy to receive. Try to make it large enough to hold a good amount of pins (30 or so). Add something fun for an extra heart! I know that receiving a personally made item is my favorite thing since I know that a lot of thought has gone into it as well as love! Therefore, nothing store bought….this is to be made by you. There are tons of instructions on the internet….just do a search for “pincushion patterns” and a bunch of them will show up. Here is a wonderful link I found that might help you get started http://tipnut.com/22-free-pincushion-patterns/ I have opened this swap Internationally, since the weight should not be much of an issue and therefore the postage shouldn’t be too excessive. I am also opening this up to Newbies if you have a well filled out profile since it will be an easy way to start getting rated. If not new, you will need a 4.8 rating and No “No Sends” in the last 3 months. I will angel if needed, but ask that if you sign up you are serious and do not flake out on your partner. If you have any questions, drop me a quick note. |
