Description:

So you all probably know that I"m doing the Unread Shelf Project challenge this year, to read the books you have on hand before adding more to the piles. Each month has a theme to help us choose what to read next, but most of the time, I just read what I want. However, for the month of May, the challenge is to read a book you bought that is based on a TV show or movie. I know in the past I've had a HUGE problem with buying books of movies I enjoyed & the like, but they're never RIGHT, are they? The book is almost always better than the TV show or movie, but sometimes the TV show or movie is pretty good too, right? So I thought I'd give us all a chance to read a book off our shelf with this theme.

So, for this swap, choose ANY book from your physical bookshelf, your e-reader or audio book library that you currently have on hand - you can't go out and buy a new book for this challenge, sorry. :) - that is based on a TV show or movie (or has a TV show or movie based on it) and read the book over the next 4 weeks. If you can't fully finish the book before the send by date, that's ok, you can still share your thoughts with your partner. You can also listen to audio books you have on hand that have a TV/movie related to them. (So, if you're like me, and you recently took advantage of the sale Audible had on "Where'd You Go Bernadette?", you can listen to that book for this swap.) It does not have to be a movie or TV show that is currently out - if there's a TV or Movie planned for the book, it's ok, go ahead and read the book. I"m not going to be a stickler about details - this is just a helpful nudge to read a book on hand. :) If you find an audio version of a book that is on your shelf and wish to listen to the book rather than read it, that's ok. But the goal is to take a book off your physical TBR.

Once partners are assigned, send your partner a note-card/letter with the title and author of the book, the summary (written by you or from the back of the book, etc ...), and what you thought of the book. EXTRA! If you have already watched the TV/movie and would like to add your thoughts of how the movie and book compare, please feel free to do so! :)

Also - when you sign up post the title and author of the book you are reading in the comments section below. Any book with a TV show or movie connected to it is fair game for this swap!

If you do not have a book listed in the comments when I assign partners, I will drop you from the swap. Also, I'm looking to see that you have signed in within 3 days of the sign up date. If you can't sign in within that amount of time, just send me a PM and let me know. You will have til the end of the month to read the book, and then another week to write your thoughts and send off to your partner. If you cannot send on time, PLEASE let me and your partner know! This is very important.

If you have any questions or concerns, please send me a PM and I will respond as soon as I can.

If you are watching the swap but not yet signing up, I would appreciate a note in the comments below. Thanks!

I'm going to check to see if I have any that were made into films. I know I have authors TBR whose books I've already read that have been adapted for TV and/or the big screen.
