Description:

Every month, we'll explore a different genre by reading a single book and sharing our thoughts with our partner.

November Genre is Mythology (Any country)

This can be a classic or a contemporary retelling, or Mythological fiction which bases heavily on Mythology. It can overlap with other genres like dark (American Gods), humour (Dirk Gently) or YA or others.

Send an email or swap-bot message to your partners with the following info:

  • Title & author of the book you read

  • Why did you choose this book?

  • A brief summary of the book

  • A brief review--what did you think of it?

  • Your experience with the genre (have you read a lot? a little? was this your first?)

  • Is this book a good representation of this genre?

  • Would you read more from this genre? How did this book contribute to your feel about this genre?

3 partners. Manual filtering because within a group. I will definitely check profiles.

I will angel if required.

Future genres will be :

  • Dec 18 : Popular science (scientific facts in any discipline, presented interestingly for general public)

  • Jan 19 : (modified) Fiction with LGBTQ+ lead

  • Feb 19 : Manga/ Graphic Novel

  • March 19 : Chick-Lit

  • April 19 : (modified) A book written by a teenager

  • May 19 : True crime

Apart from genre challenge, I am planning to have more reading challenges in 2019.

Women authors country-wise - we take up an Anglophone country & choose one woman author & read a book. This might be monthly or bi-monthly.

Other suggestions are also welcome.

Please also let me know if there is any interest for Fan-Art swaps.
