A Letter From Bath

Dear Ladies,

It was recommended by our local physician that you should remove to Bath to take the waters thus improving your constitution. You have been away for two months now and your friends in Amberleigh miss you at the local assembly and wonder how you go on.

Please write a missive to your friends/family giving them an update on your well being and also a little bit about the society and pastimes you have enjoyed in that wondrous City of Bath. Your letter should be both sides of a standard sheet of stationery and do be generous with your descriptions and of course the local gossip! Some of our acquaintances from the nearby town of Bexford are also in Bath so perhaps you have visited or have met at that centre of society called the Pump Room.

Do give a full and interesting description of your time in Bath. Remember, in our era, there are no photographs or picture postcards so we must depend on our powers of description.
