Description:

Greetings from the Georgian Regency Kitchen, the image shows the lengths the cook "at home", went to in the day, to present for the family dinner - here a savoury fish jelly mold, with redcurrants as garnish. Looks quite delicious.

For this swap, we will be sending to one person a recipe that we shall find, placing it on a stiff card (to simulate a postcard) and place in an envelope. The recipe must be from the era of 1714-1830 so a little investigation may be required here. The plated food item will be placed on one side of the postcard, please choose an era appropriate image or if inclined a drawing from your hand. The recipe should be handwritten on the back neatly. Add your swap name/date and swap on the back.

On the envelope decorate the outside to reflect a Georgian Regency feel. And add an old kitchen style note to your partner telling why you chose this recipe from where you found it, and whether you have tried it, what you thought of the method, taste etc. So we get some interaction, on a personal level.

We would like our members to feel like they are writing to family from another era. So the note might be a tea stained splashed note with your thoughts, or an actual hazy image on the note, that is entirely up to you. I hope you will join me at the tea table. Bon appetite!
