Description: | |
Create one altered art pocket shrine in a Halloween theme. How you carry out the Halloween theme is completely up to you---make it spot on with jack o'lanterns and witches, or interpret it more broadly with Gothic fiction, superstitions, creepy dolls, etc. Just make it spooky! Altoids tins are perfect for pocket shrines, however you are not required to use one as the housing for your shrine. Feel free to repurpose or make a box of comparable size (3¾" tall x 2¼" wide). The swap graphic is a witchy shrine I made using a small Russell Stover candy box. Decorate your shrine inside and out, creating some sort of 3D diorama on the inside. This swap is not for a tin that gets filled with goodies for your partner. All bits and pieces need to be firmly attached. Add to/alter the shrine itself as you wish: unhinge the lid, attach parts to act as legs for it to stand on, attach string to hang it from a wall---whatever you do, create a spooktacular piece of decor your partner will be happy to display. When you're done, take care to pack your spooky shrine so that it arrives in one piece. Because this is our first swap, I'm leaving a bit extra sign-up time. This is totally sender's choice, so feel free to begin creating ahead of partner assignments. Questions? Comments? Linkspiration |
